I saw some nice colors in this thread. Mine's in boring, regular silver, just receintly cleaned, oiled and sharpened. I know many people prefer the X, and I gave it a shot too, but the regular Pioneer is a lot slimmer and lighter. To compensate for the scissors I carry a Classic SD on my keychain - problem solved.Besides, scissors seem kinda delicate for a tough, heavy duty knife such as this one. The X strays from the design imo. It feels like someone modded a Pioneer in his basement. The blade is offset, nail nick is wrong, feels less a knife and more multitool.
As per bump request , here's my "daily driver " . I had an armourer friend engrave the main blade as this is how I see this particular knife 😊(as per Spongebob Squarepants )It has "seen some smurf"as they say (literally, among other worse things Has been VERY thoroughy cleaned many times, I hasten to add) and still does everything I could want of a daily companion tool
Welcome to MTO, Turbolqk! You might get lucky and find a black Pioneer w/ red shield, or you could hunt for a Black Beauty Swiss Rail Soldier.(Image removed from quote.)
I agree that it's definitely one of the best. I have to say, though, I really prefer the ones without the keyrings, whether Soldiers or Pioneers. Man, I love that Black Beauty...
I prefer no key ring nub as well, so I grind them all off.
