Identifying and Valuing Swisstool
on: October 30, 2019, 05:01:38 PM
Good afternoon chaps,

I have been given a Swisstool Victorinox tool, and have no idea of what model it is nor what a value would be.

Anyone give me a hand!?

Thanks!

Is the model I have the 3.0333L or the 3.0338L?

Struggling to find info on the 3.0333L

Cheers!

The 3.0338L is a SwissTool X Plus. The X means the Swisstool has scissors.

Yours is a SwissTool. It has a serrated blade instead of scissors, so the 3.0333L means it is a Swisstool Plus as opposed to a SwissTool X Plus.

Swisstool X Plus (3.0338.L)  – Includes the bit-wrench, bits and holder, corkscrew, and eyeglass screwdriver

Swisstool Plus (3.0333L)-includes bit wrench, bits and holder.

With regard to value, very similar (though not identical) new kits are selling today for $125 - $150, so that is probably a fair estimate, provided your kit is in new condition.  If condition is used, value obviously would be somewhat less and dependent on condition.  Since these items are currently manufactured (though not necessarily sold packaged in that exact combination), I don't believe there would be any significant collector's or rarity premium.
