Gerber 45200 10 piece tool kit for MP400 MP600 and MP800

While the Gerber 45200 is definitely one of the most useful accessories with their multi tools, I managed to locate some factory packaging that provides information I've yet to see posted here.  Challenging to verify the vintage of this unit and I am guessing that in 1998-1999, the 45200 not only came with a USA made nylon pouch, the bit kit itself was also made in USA as well.  Such a  bold statement such as that merits exploratory evidence and I shall present two images below.  This tool kit has been made in China for several years, possibility decades now.  This unit is also known as a tool kit coupler.

This is an interesting coincidence.  I was, in the last few days, trying to find out more about the kit.  I bought it last spring and it included the pouch, bits and adapter.  They had been wet so all the tools were rusty and the pouch was stained.  I cleaned them up and noticed that the pouch said "made in U.S.A."  Maybe this is old stock - I have no idea.  The pouch, although still usable has seen better days and the plating has come off the bits and adaptor.  They still work well however.

The adaptor fits on the Phillips of the multiplier, mp400 and mp600 for sure and also fits properly on the (almost) square post of the Ganzo G301.  The Ganzo was missing the adaptor and bits that it comes with so I ordered a set from aliexpress a few days ago.  The one's on aliexpress come in a rubber holder, not in the nylon pouch.  I'm hoping (assuming) that the adaptor in that set will also fit the Gerber multitools. 

Yesterday I located an adaptor that also fits the Gerbers and Ganzo, in a second hand store.  They adaptors are available separately on aliexpress but I can't seem to find them locally other than the one and it is unlabelled.
