My old Swiss Champion was recently repaired by Victorinox Switzerland.
In september 2019 I brought my knife to the local Vic retailer. The pen knife was broken, the main blade was very much scratched, the metal saw/file was much rusted and the scales were also scratched. However, I removed and kept the scales myself and also kept the old style tooth pick and tweezers.
The dealer told me repair was for free, but postage & handling would cost me about € 8.

Last week my Champion returned. The original main blade was polished and sharpened, the pen knife was new, and also was the metal file! I now have a Champion from the Eighties with a 2005 style metal saw/file.
Unfortunately it did cost me € 18. According to the shop he had been charged by Victorinox, because it was not for free.

Question (just out of greed): Has this repaired Champion still any collectors value?

I think you got a very good deal for the 18 euro. Especially a new pen blade and the scales!  :tu:

I recently had my motorist showered in TLC by victorinox ibach. They charged me £5 for their great work and £5 return postage.
Great service.

My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.
