Day 5 photos

Had a meeting this morning at IHOP and the OHT was handed around...even the Gerber crew was liking it
A quick shot at work as I had 9 RTU’s to clean before I could leave...did a total of 11 RTU’s for the day between 2 calls.

OHT getting dirty hands.... nice action Ray  :like:

Your putting the OHT through it's paces there Ray.  Look'n good.  I'll be watching with interest.  I never quite got the hang of mine, I'm spoiled to twenty + years of Swisstools and the OHT is just SO different.  I know the work your doing and it can be fun.  I'm the Texas HVAC contractors liscens holder for my company, but I still prefer working on my hot food equipment over hvac.  Most people seem to be just my opposite when given the choice.  It's allways good to see someone take pride and enjoy their work.  Oh and the Wife and I will be visiting Georgia over New Years to celebrate or 25th anniversery at MT Laurel ( about 45min N of Atlanta) where we spent our Honeymoon .  It's BEAUTIFUL country filled with BEAUTIFUL people.
Look forward to following you and your OHT.
25 years! Congratulations for sure!  :woohoo:
Yes it is beautiful country here!  :tu:

Day 6 photos

A very good day today...went to visit the local and knife shop and put 3 111mm SAKs for pickup next week. Found another Leatherman at a different store - an antique store so bought it.

Day 8 photos

Long day and a couple of usages - the apple not photographed...someone destroyed the tip to turn the water on as the key would not work and the needle nose couldn’t reach it good enough to get a good grip on it. Had to go to the office for the water. Cutting some ties so the pressure wand would move freely.

Wearing gloves, do you have any issues selecting implements?

During the challenge last November, I had little issue deploying the knife or drivers with similar types of hand protection.

With those type of gloves, I have no problems...with the thicker rubber coated gloves yes, big time!  I thought with the rubber coated gloves it would help but that’s not the case.

Enjoying this thread. I like the OHT myself.

Interesting comment on the gloves. I have tried a few thinner leather bike gloves and they worked really well. I'm surprised the rubber ones did not work. Are they pretty thick? I did find closing the tools a little more cumbersome. I had to make sure the seam is on the liner release tab to get the tool back in its place.

Cheers, Pete

Nice uses Ray.
At my job, I uses leather gloves, so, easy access for tools is very important.

Day 10 photos

Well no rain, so it was a great day today.

Pete....I went and tried the gloves again and it worked this time...then it didn’t... Playing around with it I found the thumb has to be positioned just right to open the blade up. If I was off in either direction I was pushing the frame, which has to be why I couldn’t open the blade that first time. The latex gloves are no problem at all. Flys open. Know that I know what it takes to work with the rubber gloves I would have no problems with it now. Thanks
