There was a documentary about thin people on a few months back.  Basically they were given a strict, very high, calorie count they had to eat per day and forbidden form doing any kind of exercise.  They discovered that there are several reasons some people don't put on weight: high metabolism, involuntary fidgeting (foot tapping etc), mental and physical block form eating, one chap even metabolised the excess energy into small amounts of muscle tissue rather than fat stores despite the no exercise rule.  There may have been others but I forget now.

In the end they had all put on some weight but far less than you might expect, also they all lost it again in quick order after the experiment ended.  The conclusion was that some, if not all, people have a natural weight and it can be very hard to move away from that.  However everybody still needs to eat sensibly and get exercise to stay healthy no matter what their weight is.

Thanks, interesting stuff.

I could do with losing a stone or two but it's hard to shift it when my exercise is limited. However, this does mean that in a survival situation I could probably live off the stored energy in my arse for about 3 months  :D

I have heard Duncs new employers have asked 'Super Dunc' to sleep on Bell Rock at night & use his sonic boom(snoring) to replace the Bell Rock light house  :P :D. Might have to do a environmental impact study as I am not sure if 'Super Dunc' meets EU emission standards.
Imagine if 'Super Dunc' & 'Wenger Elf' could join forces & become the new Batman & Robin. :o :D

No way dude......we have a Sarge who transferred from there working alongside us.  What year were you there and I will see if he was there at the same time.

He came to Britain after meeting his wife on holiday and managed to get "Landed citizenship" here

What a small world we live in

Well he came to us in 07 so he might have, might not have.

I will see him tomorrow and ask if he knows a guy called Nikko (who always loses his tools ;)) but what class sizes did you have?

It might be he sees hundreds of recruits a year.....what was your tutor/trainer called as he would probably know them.
