Cleaning Tan Boots
on: April 23, 2020, 11:53:07 PM
I got these tan desert boots for work and I can't seem to keep them clean. I got some black marks on them and tried cleaning them with toothpaste and then backing soda. It appears neither seemed to work.  :twak: Any tips or recommendations on how to get the black and white marks off. Attached is a picture.

Kiwi Suede cleaner should work.

Magic eraser. But test first on an inconspicuous part of the boot

I'd select a cleaner specifically for that material, the raw leather.  I use saddle soap but my boots don't have those raw parts.

Dye them black.  ;)

Tan wasn't my first choice of boot color but my previous work boots were falling apart and I needed a pair so these fit the bill. Black will my next color choice.

It’s already raw leather so I’d try a wire brush. They will be near impossible to keep clean.

I was going to say the same - I just brush my leather boots, and let the stains fall where they may

I think there's some kind of spray you can use on them, to protect them against dirt and to make it easier to clean, if they do get dirty.

Don't know any brands, though...
