Just got back from the wood supplier
And got one more slat of wood size 34x34mm x 2400mm
same size I have been using and one that is the size
of 63x34mm x 2400mm as I am going to use that
one for the two ends of the platform for extra strength  :tu:

Bought the stuff I need for servicing my rear differential.

Hopefully the weather holds up this weekend.

Due to a lack of female supervision in my life; I ended up buying an extendable breaker bar and an Air Ratchet (this one will TQ to 80Nm ...the other ones I could find would only do 45Nm)  while I was at the auto parts store

I know an air ratchet isn’t designed for anything other than getting at those annoying bolts in difficult places where moving a normal ratchet from side to side isn’t possible and basically save your hands from doing the side to side ratchet movement.

But I have to admit that I thought it was more powerful than it is, especially being rated at 80Nm.

I know everyone (on YouTube at least) talks highly about the electric ratchets and how they are moving from their air tools to electric tools.

I understand that it it nice to get rid of the annoying air line that you are forced to have on air tools.

But most of the electric ratchets I can find will barely do 50Nm.

Even the highly praised Milwaukee M12 electric ratchet is only rated at 35 Ft-lbs of TQ or 47Nm of TQ

Also mine is rated at 350 rpm and the M12 is only rated at 250 rpm

Again I know neither the air or electric ratchets are designed for high TQ or high speeds.

But I thought there would be a little more “umph” than this?

Maybe I am just over thinking it and it will all make sense once I get to use it on my Jeep? (As these things usually does)

A lot of the air tools need a very large
compressor to make them work properly
I have had the same problem even my
50 litre air compressor isn’t powerful enough  >:(

It looks like you would need a industrial type
of air compressor to make the tools work properly

Mine is a 24L tank and it can charge up to 120 PSI or 8 Bar.

Both my air tool says “Required operating pressure: 90 psi / 6 bar”

So I don’t think that is the issue.

I have insured that the air tools are well oiled with “air tool oil” too

I know the air compressor reads it can handle those type of pressures
But it’s to do with the amount of air the compressor holds
If you notice that only using the tool for a minute and the
air compressor tank is empty and the compressor starts up again to fill the tank
That’s where our little compressors suffer to give full power on the tools

The do recommend a 2 hp motor for air tools, where as mine is a 1.5 hp.....but that should only affect the duration of of using the tools

The information I got was after I asked a compressor technician
that came to my work to service the compressor that we had to use for work
And I noticed that the tools worked properly at work but not on
my 50 litre compressor and it’s a 2hp compressor that I have

Well of course he is going to say “just get the biggest and most expensive one”...

...that’s the easiest answer to everything..

..I don’t know of any household that has a belt driven 150L air compressor in it...maybe in America; but not on this side of the pond.

It's not really the pressure you're lacking, but the volume.  Most air tools require high CFM, which small compressors can't put out.

Last spring I bought a new 60 gallon (227 litres) 3.7HP compressor, and I ran 3/4" line through my garage, which goes to 1/2" distribution blocks, and I use high flow Milton V-style air fittings with 3/8" air hose.

Now you don't need that to run an air ratchet, but if you're using a 1/4" air hose, ditch that and use a 3/8".  It should help out some, but it won't make up for a small capacity, low CFM compressor.

Most people won't need the setup I put in, and the only reason I went with that was because I was painting my Jeep myself, so I needed something that would easily power an air sander and my paint gun without me having to stop and wait for the compressor to catch up.  I also put in a dedicated line for painting that has extra filters and a desiccant drier.  Yes, I tend to go overboard with things, lol.

Generally a 20 gallon (75 litre) consumer type (direct drive, not belt drive, though belt drive will operate better and won't be as loud) will intermittently operate most air tools without issue.  I'm not sure what prices are like on your side of the pond, but they are pretty inexpensive here.
