Well, the temps starting to go down but so is the wind! It’s still nasty out there, saying 25-35mph (40-56k) winds,
I did go outside and found my shovel under the deck, and the downspout tucked up against the house, so I took them to the garage, at first it was just a light breeze but loud, then WOOOSH, it was like you got slapped in the face! It did start snowing pretty good but it was flying sideways, it didn’t stick so that made it good!

This winds freaking nasty! Earlier today it said with gusts as high as 50mph, but that was the high of the day and it was suppose to calm down as the day went on, well I don’t think so, there might have been a little cool down, but OMG, I almost got taken off the porch when I took the kitty litter out tonight, it’s saying that we’re in a high wind alert through tomorrow afternoon, yet, it said the same thing as today, the later the day goes the calmer it’s to get! So I guess we’ll see,,

Wow...just wow!

We had a winter storm warning again. Seems like we are now getting one or two of those each week lately. This one was interesting. It started off with snowthunder yesterday...with the winds ramping up to around 90 km/h on average with falling snow overnight. I got up at 3 am because the wind woke me up. I tried to look out my front door but was snowed in. I had to exert a lot of force on my outer storm door to open it enough for me to squeeze outside in my battle armour. The snow drifts were almost to my neck...and I am 6 feet tall! Dug myself out and went back to bed. At 6 am sharp (my time to get up for work), I tried to open my door...with the same results. In 3 hours, it had snow drifted enough with the high winds...that I couldn't open my door without a lot of effort. Suited up and got a phone call from my neighbour. They couldn't get out of their house. I spent the next hour clearing a path to their home. They hadn't cleaned up the snow drifts at their door at 3 am...so it was horrendous. After rescuing them, I then rescued another neighbour as they couldn't get out either. Had to shovel my way back to my house as the snow had pilled up in just a short hour. Got back inside and checked Sootoday for the bus cancellations. Happily, they also closed the schools down...Yay...got myself a real snow day! Rather happy as I didn't have time to dig out the Jeep as of yet, and was wondering how I would even reach work on time, let alone make it all the way across to the east end of the city. Usually, they close the school buses but keep the schools open...meaning staff have to report to work and possibly have 8 kids all day if you are lucky. The radio also informed me that the city is shut down...with advisories to not drive on the roads if at all possible. What a horror show.  :facepalm:

Well the winds have calmed down! Rocky (the squirrel) is out on his little shelf eating the corn and not blowing around like the other day, the trees are still standing, the grills cover and fire pits cover are still on, surprisingly! Power lines are still up, yet lastnight twice the power kicked very briefly! Ah there goes a little gust of wind, not to bad, not as bad as yesterday I’d last night!

Well, it snowed! We got about 2”, my neighbor just ran his old LOUD small snowblower, even did my front, so I still have to go out and do the side and back, but it’s cold and I don’t want to go out :(

I had to take the trash out for tomorrow morning, and it’s only 19°f (-7c) out and surprisingly it ain’t cold, I stood there taking a nice cold deep breath for getting out of the house, just not near the trash can, err..

Freezing Rain and Sleet here now.
Also we were forecast to have it miss us,of course and now are in a weather Advisory!

Luckily I do not have to venture out again really,I tried earlier and turned tail and came home.
Too many idiots out Today to say the least.
I was passed by one Moron going 60 mph maybe on ice towing a trailer while the rest of us were inching along trying to stay ff our brakes?
I bet he was Texting too!
