Here are my keepers: the little case seen previously and a 4-in-1 mini screwdriver.

For every item I took out, at least six are going in (if everything fits). It'll be on its way outta here on the next relatively dry day.

Cool little screwdriver and cigarette case. Are you sure there's not anything else in there you wanted?  You should look again and pick out something interesting before you send the box out again.

I agree with Alan.  Something for your friend at the Veteran's group maybe.  Or a grocer that you like.  Or yourself.  Best wishes.  Gary

I will do that. Getting everything back in the box and adding the stuff I want to get rid of will be challenging enough. Another item or two might have to come out. :D

I'm glad you're going to get a use out of the 4-in-1.  I always had one in my tool bag when I had my traveling IT gig.  It always came in handy when I had to adjust potentiometers, or reinstall a network card, or tighten my glasses.

One of the bits is just the right size for those tiny screws on the back of a Casio. Now if only I had a tool for those pesky watch band pins. I've bent at least one of them because I tried to install it without benefit of the proper tool.

The list so far.  FarmerX has it now and will be sending it to AztecCypher as soon as he can get to the post office.  If anyone wants to add their name cut and paste the list with your name at the bottom.  Must be an established member with quality posts and not just a bunch of likes and agrees. How many posts?  Well, at least enough to establish yourself as a valued part of the community and give you access to the PM system so you can give the member above you on the list your address.  This shows us you're a real multitool aficionado and not just some 10 year old kid trying to make off with a free box of knives.:twak:
The recipient can keep whatever they want out of the box and add whatever they want to the box, then must send the box to the next person on the list.  You post pictures of what you keep but you don't let on what else is in the box so it will be a surprise to whoever gets it next.  As of now postage for the medium priority box is $18.40. I can assure you all there is stuff in there worth much more than the cost of the postage.

I took Alan's advice and took another look through the box. A few more things came out. We'll start with a watch band, some spare watch band pins, and what I am pretty sure is a tool for installing said pins.

The Leatherman slip should see me carrying a PB multi more frequently. And the Old Hickory fixie had to come out in order to make a little space. :D

And finally, the Gerber Curve was in the box for a little while. I kinda felt sorry for it.

Very good selection there Dan.  And you are correct.  That is the tool you need for the watch pins.

That takes care of the watch pin problem you were having.  I have a boning knife that was left to me from a friend's mother.  Old Hickory just exactly like the one you kept, except a little blacker in the blade.  Charlie Richie put big stock in those types of knives (The Backwoodsman Magazine / Richie's Magazine).  He bought and sold lots of those things as the types of knives that pioneers used every day for something.  Generally thought of as kitchen knives now, I found them to be a very usable outdoor knife for many uses.  You can peel a deer or peel potatoes.  Nothing fancy.  A carbon steel blade and hickory handles.  Nice choices.  Best wishes.  Gary

The Schrade hone is used to keep the edge up.  That came from the surprise box last time.  G

Boning knife, eh? Maybe it'll get some good use when I get around to roasting that whole chicken. Will have to look up Charlie Richie. Thanks for sharing the photo of your Old Hickory!

Great choices.  I'm also a fan of the Old Hickories.  Have 3 of them and read years ago about using the butcher knife as a bushcrafter.  They fit in a Ka-Bar sheath.  The company later made a shorter version of their butcher knife that came with a sheath for use as a field knife because so many people were doing it anyway.  Old Hickories may become scarce now since they were made by Ontario Knife Co which is now out of business.

I'm not sure if they're completely done. They were purchased by Blue Ridge Knives, and ontarioknife.com is still up and going, with a statement to the effect of "please pardon service disruptions while we relocate to Virginia." Blue Ridge Knives is a wholesaler. They wholesale a decent assortment of stuff other than cheap junk, so I guess there's some hope for OKC.

The Old Hickories are too good to no longer be available so I hope Blue Ridge will keep the line going.  Meanwhile I'm going to have to check out their site.

Do you remember the Forgecraft knives, Alan?  Almost identical with Old Hickory.  Same carbon steel blades with the same patterns on the blades.  Hickory handles.  This one is a Forgecraft 8 inch slicer pattern.  I got it when I got the Old Hickory.  It has been my go to pizza cutter.  Best wishes.  G

The box has been packed up and is nearly ready to go (just needs an address label and more tape if USPS personnel deem it necessary). Time constraints will prevent me from shipping it today, but it will definitely be going out tomorrow. Good thing I've been an early riser as of late.

This all started with a small flat rate box. I think there were eight items in the one I received back in September of 2021. Suffice it to say that the quantity of items has grown exponentially. It truly amazing! I found another keeper, and I have to come up with at least two more items to put in (so I can stay in accordance with a self-imposed "one in, one out" policy).

Sos actually sent out 2 boxes in the beginning, one of which was sent to me and subsequently to you. I have lost track of if that box was the seed for Aloha's revival.

Here is what Sos put in the first box:

The other box had great items also.

Sos has expressed amazement at the generosity of the forum members who have participated. But she set the tone with the amazing amount of generosity she displayed when starting this GAW (and other ones too!).
