He gets sad if he goes out there and the sun isn’t shining on his cot.  In the summer I have to keep track of how long he is out there so he doesn’t overheat.  As is most of the time he comes in and goes straight to his cooling mat.

i think with my last dog  it only took a few days  but there all different so time will tell.

Here's our spikey potato Josephine, today she gave us a horrendous scare with hibernation presenting as signs of Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome. A heat pad, a small panic cry, and turning upside down later and she's right as rain and being a little hoodlum again. Nevertheless her punishment for scaring us is being paraded on the internet, so here she is:

As long as you get one from a good family line I strongly recommend them as pets, super cheap to keep (I buy cat food once a year for her, with the occasional egg and chicken from our own groceries) and adorable  :like:

Josie is 3.5 years old now and gets on well with the feline contingent  :)
