Welcome to

The link zoidberg gives is a great collection of guides for modding.
I would add to this a suggestion to buy a few used 2-4 layer 91mm SAKs to get some practice. It’s great fun to mod, but you’ll find it takes a few builds to get your technique to settle.
Also get a few replacement scales. It’s nice to pop on a new set when you’ve finished your build.
Apart from a few essential tools, the most critical items you need to find is the 2.2mm and 2,5mm brass rod, as you cannot reuse once you’ve drilled out on disassembly, unless you’re stepping down 2-3 layers. I could not find 2.2mm when I started, so I used to put a short length of 2.5mm rod in a drill and sand it down on a flat block and then polish.
The little brass collars are also essential to save, which you can with careful drilling of the pin to release them.
Don’t worry if everything pops apart and you’re not sure which layer goes where and with which tools or backsprings. There’s a great “exploded SAK” thread here
https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,81046.0.html that shows the tool layout of many SAKs.
One last recommendation. I find those ring-lights with the central magnifying glass to be a great aid when examining parts and checking details.
The right board to get advise and post your mods is the mod squad board, under forum/tool talk. All MT mods are covered on this board, but SAKs are the most popular, followed by the LM fan boys.
We all look forward to seeing what mods you build!
