Looking for a good flask
on: January 06, 2009, 05:40:29 AM
I've got an 8oz Coleman flask I bought at Walmart a year or two ago and I'm looking for a "good" one now.  The hinge pin on the Coleman fell out and is now replaced with a bent paperclip, and I'm not that confident the metal itself is safe.  It's pretty rough overall, which I don't mind, but I'm looking for a quality (smaller) flask...anyone know a brand or anything?  All the ones I've seen online are apparently generic imports :P

Was it Dunc that got the JD flask for Christmas?  If so, does it say where it was made?

I'm saving for a titanium flask. Sure they're $120, but it would last me the rest of my life. Titanium is super safe as well.  :tu:

Yea looking for a metal one for discreetly transporting bourbon :pok:

That $120 looks really nice...but waay too expensive for me.  Stainless would do just fine..for $120 I'd be afraid to use it/knock it sround/lose it..

On second thought, a Black Oxide flask would be killer!

I have a very nice stainless, used for what you want too, it was a gift to me
but she told me where she got it, I can't remember the name, but it was in
a mall, where they engrave things and they had it there, I went there a few
years ago to engrave something else and I saw the flask, they had several and
they were all good prices. If I can find the name I'll post it, "Engrave and Things"
or something like that (I think).

It's easier to carry around a flask than it is a glass bottle!
