Had to look into an overflow box...
on: August 21, 2020, 01:21:45 AM
I was out the other day and almost bought something at a local store. Just as I was about to add it to my cart, I recalled that I may have already got one. I put the item down and when I got back home, I looked for it but could not find it. After a few minutes, I recalled placing the item in the overflow box...a temporary abode for those items needing a spot in the collection.

I thought I would take photos of what I had in the overflow storage box for your entertainment...and to jog my memory on what I have stored in there. Yes, I did find the item, so I dodged buying a copy. :D

1. SOG Pocket Powerplier.

2. A divers Knife. The blade locks into the sheath via a button mechanism. The sheath has leg / arm straps.

3. Tech Toolz by Tech toyz. This is a weird one. Whistle pops out from the bottom. Has a not bad selection of swivel tools. Bonus marks for having a fish scaler. 5 LED flashlight that operates on 3 AAA batteries, but the weirdest thing however, is the pop out low powered binoculars.Forgot to mention the signal mirror side.

4. A Bone Edge Rambo style survival knife.

5. Survival Shovel. This one is a bit of an oddity as well. The shovel features a saw edge, a few hex bolt cutouts on the back side of the shovel located on a raised section. The end-cap comes off and features a not that bad survival kit in the handle. A very nice liquid ball type compass rounds out the functions.

6. Cool old school Mastergrip Maintenance kit. The screwdriver features a ratchet mechanism. the multi-tool is fairly well built, and the Dorcy incandescent flashlight is definitely old school all the way.
