EDC 00:

 :mail:

A new SAK (Signature Lite) arrived in time for me to alter my EDC for the month. The Sig Lite gives me a pen and small light, but at the cost of my T&T.  To remedy that, I added a pair of fine tweezers to my key chain.

This is my starting EDC:

• Fat wallet
• Some bits of string
• Pocket caddy with Mini Bic & BAK
• House keys with 4-way driver, Widgy bar, and tweezers
• Vic Signature lite
• Baggie for dog walks
• Money clip
• Reading glasses
• Bandana

The wallet is a key bit of the EDC. In addition to the usual library card, driver's license, and credit card, I use it to store a few extra EDC-type items:

• Dark Green case with fresnel lens and spare stamps.
(Not visible: wrapped, double-edged, razor blade, taped to inside of Dk Green case.)
• Light Green case with XFine sharpening card
• Two Band-aids (if you know me...you know why...)
• Black duct tape enclosing some vaseline soaked gauze (tinder or bandange)
• Small baggie with mini-ferro rod and Ballistol treated Jute (more tinder)

Not shown: iPhone (seen in earlier posts), used to take today's photos.

So that is my EDC for DEC. I'll be testing out the new SAK and the old BAK. The other stuff is just the stuff I normally EDC.

I keep hand sanitizer, sun glasses, chap stick/lip balm, and clean face masks in the vehicles. I don't wear a watch. I had thought about carrying a paracord bracelet....but I have string in my pocket anyway.

Thanks to Surge for the visual reminder that my reading glasses are part of my EDC!  :tu:

Forgot the lighter  :ahhh
Especially important this season.
Usually a Bic mini but for December I'll take my old Zippo.

That is an interesting looking watch. How is the readability in the night? Does it have backlight or something like that?

Being an Aliens fan couldn’t resist SirVic

yes it has a back light top left button that stays on for about 10 seconds, the lume is nice and strong anyway so i don’t really use it.

It has different time zones, stopwatch, alarm, temperature, elevation etc as you cycle through the features, display can be turned off too.

Good luck everyone

I’m sticking with what I posted on the weekend with a few very minor changes I’ll share in the morning, in the meantime I’ll let Coco have the first word

EDC

I changed my loadout slightly since what I posted earlier.

- Yeoman instead of Canoe.  I wasn’t expecting he scales to arrive and be installed in time but they did and now I can’t wait to carry.
- added a sling to make carrying my water bottle easier.  Usually I rarely use the sling, but I’n rather have than not so added.

The contents of the organizer pouch also changed slightly.
- I forgot to include the micro signal mirror that is kept inside the fresnal lense case.
- I replaced my honey packet in the first aid ziplock that had been used and not replaced.
- I took the pen because the Yeoman now has a pen
- Added a nail file in back pocket

Here is a pic of keys with Rambler and Flashlight plus face mask and sunglasses

The sling has a strap and carries things, that's kind of like a bag...

I got him, I brought down SoS to a bag carrying level  :woohoo:

I’ll let you take the win on that.  I was just going to do the carabiner to the belt or leash, which is what I do more frequently if I’m not just hand carrying.  But knowing I’d be carrying it everywhere, it seemed like there might be occasions I would want the bottle sling.

Thanks and yes I do see 4 pandas on each side which is why I really loved these compared to his other cool patterns.  What I think is real funny is the maker labelled them “Bulldog”, but I saw Pandas and so has everyone else who I asked or said anything.

Ok, so here's my EDC for Dec.

- Mens bag
- Mobile/Cell phone (fits into the front pocket of the bag)
- Pocket Caddy
- 74mm SAK
- Watch

(Image removed from quote.)

This is in the bag.
- Reading glasses
- Wallet with SwissCard lite
- Flashlight (Nitecore TIP)
- Fisher Pen
- Leatherman Mini Tool
- First Aid Blanket
- Two Altoids tins
- Big plaster (fits junior's knees)
- Paper tissues

(Image removed from quote.)

The first Altoids tin has plasters in various sizes, 4 paracetamol, Iodine salve for wounds/inflamations etc.

(Image removed from quote.)

The second Altoids tin is the McGyver one holding...

- Shoe lace
- Safety pins
- Split ring
- Super glue
- Cable ties
- paper
- magnet pad (in the lid, can be cut)
- Small roll of duct tape
- some nylon string
- paper clips
- sewing needle and thread
- plasters
- 2 paracetamol
- small carabiner
- small ink cartridge
- wooden toothpicks
- 4 small double sided sticky patches

(Image removed from quote.)

Here's the pocket caddy with a Swisstool Spirit X, Victorinox scale tool Pen, Lumintop Tool AA 2.0...

(Image removed from quote.)

For the coin/watch/5th pocket I've decided on the Vic. Executive...

(Image removed from quote.)

Now here comes an actual challenge for me as I rarely wear a watch these days.
However, I think that I do rely on the smart phone too much, so I'm trying to change that a bit by wearing a watch again.
I'll go with my trusty Sinn 157, full stainless steel case and band adding up to a 153 grams dangling from my left wrist...

(Image removed from quote.)

Good luck to all...  let's have some fun  :drink:

I always think Alan is the fashionista of the Pack...I used to wear one to work long, long time ago. :D

Nice setups folks, good variety!  :like:

Here is mine. Only minimal adjustments since the last post:
(Image removed from quote.)

Added the Opinel just for the fun of it :D It will be used exclusively for food duties.

Not in the picture:
- Smartphone
- Timex Expedition wrist watch
- Keys
Interesting layers of tools, I would wonder whether you will reach for the Opinel or the Classic more by the end of the challenge? :pok: :D

Pretty sure it will be the Opinel. The Classic is attached to my keys, so would be cumbersome to use. I carry it mainly for on the go nail fixes. And to have T&T when I carry a tool that does not have them.
