My utility kilt has a pouch that's almost exactly sized for a 91/93mm SAK. When I go more traditional, I usually have some something in the sporran. I look at those multi-tool sgian dubhs, but they're too rich for my blood.
Hey folks,Curious question for the community—especially those who wear kilts regularly (whether for tradition, utility, or comfort): What’s your multitool carry setup when wearing a kilt?"LINK REMOVED" offer a ton of freedom and airflow (not to mention style!), but they don’t exactly come with jeans-style pockets. I’ve been experimenting with different carry methods—belt pouches, sporrans, even boot clips—for keeping my trusty [insert multitool model] on me when I’m in full Highland mode. Here are a few points I’d love to hear from others about:What multitool do you carry when kilted? How do you carry it? (Sporran? Belt sheath? Sock knife?)Do you find any tools particularly kilt-compatible or inconvenient?Any favorite pouches/sheaths that work well with traditional kilt gear? For me, I’ve been carrying a Leatherman Wave+ in a horizontal belt sheath, but I’m not loving the bulk when it’s paired with a sporran. Thinking of switching to a slimmer tool like the Skeletool or even something clip-based for easier access.Keen to hear from anyone else who blends the utility of multitools with the freedom of kilts!Cheers,
