Day 18 Bonus pics
I’m having a bit of minor surgery on my hand tomorrow, so it’ll be glamour shots for awhile. I thought the Mora should get in on the fun
Best wishes for the surgery mate, like the pic is that a Tassie tiger?

As far as the gasket, I’ve seen mixed reviews, but figure for a couple dollars it was worth seeing for myself.  I also put some vaseline on the sides between insert and case, which seems to help some.  I think some evaporation is always going to be a problem due to not having airtight closer or top unless tape or band around opening.

Because mine is mainly “just in case” and fidget, butane inserts make more sense and I like them, but options are nice.

That cake looks like a nice way to enjoy being inside in this weather. Someone’s birthday?

It was because a cold miserable day seem like a good time

Sunbathing at -29 C:
(Image removed from quote.)

Well, it was -29 in the morning, by the time I took the photo it was some -24 only.
In any case, coldest day in some 5 - 6 years
:ahhh :ahhh
My brain can barely comprehend that kind of cold, hope you’re staying warm oL

Day 18...

(Image removed from quote.)

Pokey has enjoyed me being home during the Snowpocalypse. I’m back to work tomorrow.  So, I am enjoying a leisurely morning with my best friend, coffee, and this butterscotch micarta Zulu.

Our snow is starting to melt. Temps are still below freezing, but that old Sun is hot!  This stuff fell off the roof...onto the walk I had shoveled....this morning......

Nice pic!  The blue looks good next to the snow.  My PX is boring old silver, but I have a blue Farmer X.

Thanks McStitchy for the Wave tools, I tried them out a bit.  I like that the bit extender can also take normal bits.

Thanks everyone for the well-wishes, it should be fine.  It'll be nice to be able to straighten out my finger after it heals!  Should I bring my mini-grip and ask the surgeon to cut me open with it and pose for a picture?

Yes that is a Tasmanian tiger.   Or as those in the know say, a Thylacine, lol.   He's all brass and sits on my desk at home

GF, sorry for taking so long to reply. Pictured are 3 of my five -the other 2 being neck carry with a ball chain and static cord for IWB carry.

Top is a clip for in-line carry on a belt. You could also use it for scout style carry.

Middle is a metal clip  to carry inverted, such as in the arm pit of a jacket. It could also be clipped to the bottom of a pants pocket to keep the sheath in place while drawing.

The bottom knife is mounted to a Pocket Shield which lessens the print of the knife in a pocket. Other gear may also be mounted to it -flashlights, etc.

Welcome to the Cult of the Obake.

Very nice! Did the belt loop come with the knife? I know my minimalist came with one but don't remember if the Obake did. I think ideally I'd way 3 of a lot of my fixed blades, one neck carry, one scout and one clip for pocket carry.

The pocket shield is very interesting, so is it like a rigid pocket organiser type of thing or is it so people can't see that you're carrying a blade?

The Obake liberated a cookie cake from it's cardboard prison for the missus' birthday today  :tu:

I however forgot to take a picture with the actual baked good and of course it's now crumbs

So here's a Japanese styled knife on a bamboo notebook cover  :dunno:

I've been in search for a solution where gears could stay well organized inside a pocket, while it is easy to put back or pull out.  But often time it is either one way or the other, either it is very easy to retrieve/put back but fall out of place very easily, or it is too tight in a sheath and it's difficult to pull out or put back.

I'm curious how does it make less print when the shield is stretching out the pocket from the inside?
