Great combo Nix  :like: :multi: :climber:
They work great together  :tu:

Should compliment each other very nicely McS  :like:
I'm enjoying having the Wave as my tool this week, haven't used it much recently

Thanks Stitch, thanks Nix  :tu:

Changing over, Buck 101, Wenger and Surge, the Buck and Wenger get carried frequently but the Surge i think has 7 days on it, i didn't really bond with it and i always tended to carry the Sideclip instead so the Surge gets another 7 days, hopefully in that time it will loosen off a bit, it's quite a tight one yet :tu:

Nice Borg  :like: :tu:

I thought the Wave was noticeably heavy. The Surge has to feel like quite the boat anchor in comparison.  I like the Southern Grind Vermin, Sos, but I hope you won't mind wearing it around your neck for the next week.  I'm still deciding on my fixie and have a neck knife under consideration.

:oYou lucky devil  :D

That's a lot to take in in 4 month  :o

Gosh Sos, that sounds a very tough time  :o
One thing after another like that must have been extremely stressful, particularly after your very long deployment when I'm sure you were hoping to get some peace and rest

It helped me understand that there are different degrees of “being lucky”.  Most people wouldn’t consider me lucky having gone through all that, but I was because of how I came through it.  I was able to walk away from my accident.  Also, I had a place to stay and none of my stuff was destroyed during the hurricane or wild fire.

Your welcome.  Yes it is.  That is why I put a comparison photo

I’ve always carried fixies on my belt or in a pocket sheath, but I plan on trying neck this week with the vermin.

What do you think? What opens better..?

As good as the Spirit’s opener is, it probably doesn’t open as well.

Wise words Sherry, I agree. That reminds me of that car accident where I thought I was lucky not having any injuries (the car was totaled), only to realize some 20 years later that one of my collar bones is crooked due to breakage (the one the seat belt side).  :dunno:

Poker Day 21:

New hand, new carries.

With a Queen of Hearts and Diamonds, I'm authorized a SAK and a Multitool. I'm going to overlap a tiny bit with the FX challenge starting in March, so I figured a FX was a good bet. And, for me multitool, I'm going with a LM Skeletool.

With this combo, I've got blades, scissors, pliers, openers, drivers, and that fabulous in-line awl. This seems like a very handy combo for the next week.  :tu:

(Image removed from quote.)
Nice selection.  Bringing up the Farmer X Challenge reminds me I was going to do the same thing.  So if it is not too late to change my mind (still same day here), I would like to change out the SwissBuck for the Farmer X.

Day 21
I've gone back to the Spirit as my multitool for the rest of the challenge, and for my fixie I decided to follow Poncho's carry and take on the CRKT Hunt'n Fisch.  I love this knife but I've always found the handle a little slippery so I decided to add a little bit of a lanyard which makes it easier to draw (and hold) the knife with my little finger through the loop.  Nix, that's 5 layers of snake knot. :salute:

DAY 21

Lots of winter storm cleanup... Having a Nitro-V fixie was fantastic.

Don't know what my folder is going to be... But my fixie is the TPK Unnamed (again). It's actually my only true fixed blade... I had some other options that would've been bending the rules a little, so I'm glad I never had to carry more than one fixie!

Day 21...

(Image removed from quote.)

My draw brought no help to my hand, so I stay with a Multitool and a folder. In keeping with the original intent of the rules I’m switching my LM P4 to a Victorinox Spirit -no idea what model. And just for @comis, I’ll stick with the Charlie Bell Zulu Spear in antique Westinghouse butterscotch micarta (trust me, it is no great burden to keep it in my pocket).

In retrospect, I should have bribed the dealer for a fixie and a SAK... >:D
>:D  Should have thought about the under table dealing...with the wrong right crowd, I could foresee this will provide endless entertainment.

(right next to my computer, as a daily reminder to self that the wrong decisions always make the best stories, just don't give up :D )

Oh... nice use for scissors  :tu:
Btw, I like the Leap as well, the world needs more alternative material for lightweight MT. :like:

Poker Day 21 (bonus hot dog taco shot):

As plated and served:

(Image removed from quote.)

Mrs Nix loved them!

(which surprised me. I put spicy salsa on hers thinking that she wouldn't be able to eat it and I'd get a second....)
spicy-check, hot dog-check, cheese-check...this is my kind of food! :tu:

(Image removed from quote.)

Thanks comis, happy with that  :tu:

Cheers Stitch, no luck eh  :D

Congrats! :D

Thanks Stitch, thanks Nix  :tu:

Now that you wipe out the Buck, I am looking forward to the Fools of April challenge! :dd:

Poker Fuzzy Bits Day: 21

Right, I'm going to cheat a bit - nobody tell the stiffs (that's Commie and Nix btw), alright... Keep shtoom!  :tu:

I'm now allowed one Multi and one SAK, but I'm going to surreptitiously add this little adapter, which you know, was built for the Sideclip anyway... so what the smurf.  :2tu:

Now, keep quite, it's our little secret... okay?

(Image removed from quote.)

You left baby yoda speechless with his morning coffee...

Day 21

What do you think? What opens better..?
Hmmm...I bet Spirit opens better?
