Day 27…27! That went quickly

Have learnt a lot using one MT exclusively for a week and then moving to another the next week

@comis  the wave is a fave PBMT of mine, got this one 2005/6, the OHO i agree is awlsome, looks great, everything nice and solid, excellent bit of kit.

I think the reason it's less comfortable to use the saw (and probably the file but not tested) is the OHO blades being proud of the body.

When you’re using a blade you don’t really notice as it’s only one OHO blade still being gripped. But when using the saw which requires a properly firm hold, you're gripping both the OHO’s which I thought made it noticeably less comfortable than a Huntsman or the Rebar. The internal tools and pliers aren’t an issue as you have the rounded handles when open

in practice i'd rarely use the wave in the yard or take it on bushwalks so probably not noticed before. the wave is still awlsome but will stick with a SAK when I need a saw…or the Rebar

Did a couple of “find something to do” jobs

This matches what I found using the saw on various MTs.  I think the saw on 93mm is the most comfortable to use because it has the minimum amount sticking out when gripping compared to other tools and even 91mm SAKs.

I think it is pretty cool how you stay active and fit while pursuing goals you have set.  Good luck with the championship! :tu:

Hmm, interesting cheese and knife.  I kinda wonder why Spyderco design the scale in such way, wouldn't the regular grippy FRN scale be a better choice to operate the lock?

Is it until mid March?

Wow, Borg!  This looks pretty wild, almost like a smoke bomb photo shoot! :o

You are killing me too...
My bad comis, got an e-mail from a whisky site and got carried away

Another day... another pie...

Words to live by.

Poker Day 26 (bonus pizza shots):

So here is the Detroit pie pulled from the oven.
Show content
It has not been sauced yet....although that doesn't really seem to be a problem.....

Instead of the traditional Detroit pepperoni topping, Mrs Nix requested ham, mushroom, and bell pepper. No problem.

And...here is a slice served up hot with my special tomato sauce. There were no complaints....except the usual "I'm too full" nonsense. Shut up and clean yer plate.

What is that and how can I cover my walls with it?

It's the only Spyderco knife I have, I dont know what the regular is.  I showed the back, but if you're interested look at the sort of half circle at the edge.  there's one like it on the other side.  It's kind of like the print where you put your thumb and you push the scale so it slides past the other one.  It's kind of hard to describe, I hope this is understandable!

I do see what you mean, especially after watching a few youtube vids on the knife.  If you do like this offering, I think few other Spyderco classics would probably appeal to you too.  I used not to think much of the brand and can never understand why they can't make their knives in straight lines, eventually they grow on me and I now surely appreciate them a lot more these days.

In terms of comfort, I too would agree with your assessment--Rebar chassis does have all the tools retracted inside the body, so it's definitely one of the most comfortable to hold within the realm of LMs.  However, since all the cutting tools opened from the inside, they are less versatile than those that opened from the outside(at least in certain application, YMMV).  I think that's part of the reason why I still favor Spirit as my all time favorite, and have high hopes for the next iteration of the Spirit MXBS.  LM P4 has great potential, but I find some of those tools are lacking and not so well thought out.

The masses have spoken...I guess...

The Black Fox leaving gym in the morning.
The small tactical blade is joined by the Cheese Master.

Saturday is Mac-Day and according data Picnicker and unidentified 111 mm is been used in tonite’s episodes.
I don’t have a Picnicker but reckon that Cheese Master comes closest from my modest 111 mm selection

Good Shot Alan! I like seeing those green plants!  It's starting to feel more "springy" here most days, and this week there was a lot of melting.  That said, I woke up to giant snowflakes coming down in another blizzard.  Just that time of year, yesterday felt like spring was around the corner, today it feels like it's Jan 10 again!

That Zulu's got to be one of the real standout... thingys... of this challenge.  :like:

 :iagree:, I love it!

@Comis - that Brisa is a nice looking knife, looks handy, too!  I've always felt the same about Spyderco knives, they didn't really appeal to me.  Somehow I stumbled on the Meerkat, and thought I'd give it a try.  After having it for a few days, I like it so much I'm warming to them though. It's small size is really portable, too - it fits perfectly in the watch pocket of my jeans

I get what you mean Eco. For me though it's not a problem on the Wave. I actually appreciate the "extra grip".
On the Rebar I don't like the proud lock-rockers.
They're much smoother on the Wave  :dunno:
But all this is just nuances... I do like the Spirit, Rebar and Wave all for what they are  :D
