I have this used Pioneer with a broken awl.

Not sure what to do with it.  It wouldn't qualify for warranty...so I'm just unsure what to do, need input.
What would you do?
Thank you.

Have someone replace the awl. Either with another awl or a nail file maybe?

Or....

Contact Victorinox and ask if they’ll replace it?  Maybe even for slight charge?

If you don’t come up with anything, I’d love to buy it from you and take a stab at fixing it.  I have a spare awl that needs a new knife.

I’d find another knife with other damage, but a good ‘matching’ awl. Swap it by changing out the pin on that side.

If you don’t mind a modern polished replacement, I’d think Victorinox would do that no problem.

They replaced mine (about the same age as yours, but it still had about half the awl) with a new silver Pioneer. I did not mark it sentimental. But, I did on a really worn-out 84mm Craftsman, and it was fully rebuilt.
