I've only lost two knives in my life.  My very first Victorinox, a Camper, lost in a movie theater and now I've misplaced my custom Bantam.  I'm just gutted.
I know it's in the house somewhere, as it never left the house, but I don't know what to do so I'm seeking solutions as to what I can do to have it reappear.

Is there some type of memory exorcise I can do to try and gain access to the memory of where it is?

I've chanted, "Whatever's mine is never lost."  I called my mom and she had me say a prayer to St. Anthony.
I need some more ideas.  :ahhh  What works for you?

This is the knife:

Nice looking knife.  I guess the MTO answer would be to buy a replacement Bantam.  Then when your MISPLACED Bantam shows up, you'll have TWO.

I have purchased another, but this missing one is custom, so it's one of a kind.

Well, you can go CSI on your home. Just start with one room and check every inch, inside furniture drawers, underneath chairs and carpets. Once you're sure it's not there, move to another room and repeat.

You could start by trying to "relive" the last time you remember having it in your hand. Where do you usually keep it? When you take it, what do you do with it? Use it? Just admire it and store it again? Try to remember one of those occasions, maybe you recall what you did and where you put it. Have you shown it to someone?

Good luck with it! Keep us posted!

  :salute:

The only information I have is the photo on my phone of the last time I took a photo of it, and that was Dec. 21st, 2018.  My brother had passed in Aug. of 2018 and my Dad would pass in June of 2019, so that time period is very blurry in my mind.

I'm sorry to hear that. My condolences.

I know you have a huge SAK collection. Did you check all boxes?

Thank you....then 6 months later the pandemic, so it's been a rough couple of years which is why I think I became absentminded.
I know you have a huge SAK collection. Did you check all boxes?
I keep my 2 collections separate and I have gone through about 60% of mine....but I'm getting desperate which is why I decided to call upon some more minds to help.

I'm pretty sure it slipped out of your pocket while you were on the couch and it got wedged in between the cushions.

So if I understand correctly that wasn't a SAK you carried or used? Right?

Then it might be in one of the collections after all. Or packed away in the wrong box. Maybe in a pocket of a bathrobe? Behind some pictures on a shelf?

I will give the cushions a look over again.

Yes, I never really carried it.  Definitely never out of the house and I never used it, just took photos of it.

I'd say look at unusual but convenient places. What I mean is, suppose you had it in your hand but had to put it aside to have your hands free, maybe grab a box or someone called you. Maybe a chair, bed, on top of the fridge, whatever.

Also check your wardrobe and all the pockets. Maybe a jacket or trousers you haven't used in a long time since you said you last saw it in 2018?

FB, sorry to hear about the losses, and I know the feeling of missing a SAK, especially if it is something special or custom.

I don't know that helps, but do you habitually bring the SAK somewhere for the photo op?  I usually do all the photo shooting either at my two desks, kitchen or few feet around the collection cabinet.  Maybe if you look at other pictures taken prior or right after the custom photo, you would remember what you did right after?  Any package you need to unbox that day(thru Amazon/websites record)?

Also, is it possible to check the phone record on that date?  Maybe you go out after a phone call with friends and forgotten it was in pocket?

If you don't have any recollection on the date of, maybe couple days prior or after that photo?  Sometimes memory work in association, and it may trigger some clue to help finding it.

Pocket of little used garment?   I recently found a special pen I had lost for over a year.  It had been living in the pocket of a sport coat I rarely wear.  I wore the coat and found my pen.

This reminds of the time I put on a shirt that I had not worn for a few yrs.. Found 200.00 in cash in the pocket..

Sure it’ll turn up sometime soon and somewhere you’ll kick yourself for not having looked...I would suggest something like borrowing a metal detector but there are so many metal items in a house that would probably be pointless...good luck

Dresser was searched, no luck.  I know all about "drove me nuts" as I'm in that zone right now.   :D :ahhh

Thank you for posting!  I have been going through any digital records to try and jar my memory.
Sadly, that time of my life was filled with so much sorrow that it is difficult to access that part of my brain.  And now I've somehow put way too much emphasis on finding this one knife as if it will ease my sorrow.  It's difficult to explain.
But, all of the comments here and encouragement is keeping my spirits up and I hope to soon have success.
