I know Season 3 has already aired in most places but Canadians with OLN can watch the new episodes tonight at 8pm EST.  Did anybody see Les Stroud on BT this morning?
This is called a Swiss Army Knife. Do you know what Switzerland is? Switzerland is a place where they don't like to fight, so they get people to do their fighting for them while they ski and eat chocolate. - Larry David

 Yep that was the last season HC

Just when I start really getting into a show they end up canceling it or it goes off the air :ahhh (Just like Stargate Atlantis :( )

I have  been searching for some of Ray Mears shows on the web and have found a few

I like Man vs. Wild but I think Survivorman was more my speed and Ray Mears shows are informative in the same way as Survivorman :tu:

Yeah, MvW and SurivorMan are really two different formulas.  MvW is definitely entertaining but I wouldn't rely on that show to save my life in a survival situation.  SurvivorMan is more thorough and proper in terms of educating us on true survival.  I do watch MvW but I never watch it to learn survival techniques.  I watch MvW mainly for the gross-out factor.  When I want to learn about survival, I watch SurvivorMan.

Haven't seen any of Ray Mears' stuff yet...

Survivorman is a good show and I have no time at all for MvW.  Ray Mears is well worth watching as well.  What Ray Mears does is Bushcraft rather than survival skills, the difference is that Bushcraft is all about how to live for prolonged periods in the wilderness rather than surviving until you are rescued.  Very much a related skill set but a different mind set.  Think "what do the natives know to live their lives out here" rather than "what do I need to do to stay alive until the search party find me".
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Very true hadn't thought about it like that

Thanks for the enlightenment Gareth :tu:

I am downloading some TV episodes of Rays and haven't seen but a couple of episodes but since you mention it that makes perfect sense :D
