Bored and watching Star Trek: Voyager...
So I start playing.
I have my modded beater Pioneer X. I have replaced the brass rods with threaded pivots and screws. Every so often I play around with it. For several months I had carried it along with various folders. In its current form it was minus the blade and awl. Just scissors and the opener layer. Long ago I had modded the can opener, making it similar to the long flat blade of the Technician.
I also have a Boker Tech Tool. It is the City 2, I think. But with Phillips backside tool, rather than the corkscrew.
Once I had replaced the angled serrated belt cutter with an inline awl from the 93mm line. That worked great.
Then I returned it to normal.
Tonight, I swapped out the angled belt cutter (and accompanying lanyard ring) for the “technician” driver from my alox Frankenstein.
I like. I would like to source another 93mm can opener and mod it especially for the Boker. That would allow it to set down in the body better.
It works great as is, with excellent snap.
For now, I put the Boker tools into the alox Vic. They don’t work so well. No snap and the belt cutter sets so low it’s hard to get to in order to open it.
The stuff we do when bored!!!
