Haha, it's true, although I think there were comments both (+) and (-) about the color in the other thread.

I for one couldn't give a rat's a$$ they've dropped the Pioneer and Cadet.  I never use these SAKs, I just collect them, rabbit hole be damned.  So 2020 has a PX instead of a Pioneer?  Just more variety, and my collection of the Alox LE's is still complete.  Heck, this is actually saving me money -- If they had just added the PX to the normal offering, I'd be looking at getting a Pioneer, a Cadet, and a Pioneer X.   Thank you, Victorinox!

I’ve decided to take a similar view. My collection of LE Pioneers is now complete, and this will be the second knife  in my new Pioneer X LE collection.

Shoot, now I have to get two!  I have an MTO PX, the Winter Wonder PX, and now this one.  Might as well just get three so I have one to carry and use, too.   And maybe one for my kiddo since he also has the MTO and Winter PX's...  ok, that's four then.

Okay, I'm one of the weirdos than.

I hate the fact that they offer "Limited Edition" Pioneers for only 5 years, and then decide to replace them with another model...

Oooh, I've got the complete collection of Limited Edition Pioneers... All five of them... ::)

What will it be in 2022?  A Limited Edition Farmer X, so you have a cool collection of 1 Limited Edition PX if you bought the 2021 version?

If I had character I would tell them to put their PX where the sun doesn't shine... But I know I will probably cave at one point next year...

I love the orange colour, and usually carry a Pioneer or Cadet  :pok:

So that means I'll not buy anything of the new LE editions anymore.  :dunno:

Sometimes we tend to forget that Victorinox, along with every other MT, knife and gun maker, exists for the sole purpose of generating revenue - not for the purpose of making fun toys for us.  It helps explain why these companies do things that appear to make no sense to the consumer (i.e., discontinuing the Explorer Plus, or Glock refusing to produce a 15 round magazine for the 43X and 48).  They have their reasons for doing these things, which generally center on dark marketing voodoo.  Its the same reason that your local grocery store will completely rearrange everything once a year.  Its makes things less convenient for the consumer (who doesn't know the new layout), but generates more revenue (because the consumer buys more while wandering around the new layout).  #$

I think the “poop” refers more to Vic’s decision to change the SAKs than to the actual color. I really like the color, it is just on the wrong SAKs :D

This is a merged thread now with the title from the one I started. The poop reference was not a metaphor. It was a visual observations.

I have it on a good source that Victorinox is going to introduce the second half of their twin poop series in 2022. Enjoy your Olive Green Poop.
