"Firepower for your Swiss Army knife"
It certainly does add firepower!  A single accessory that really adds a ton of utility to my Evolution S17 for the outdoors.
I think one of the best aftermarket accessories for Swiss Army Knives, how brilliant!   :like:
I would usually pack a lighter, but always good to have this option available on your SAK anytime to be able to start a fire.

Lots of great posts again, some good looking Delemonts and food plus top uses :tu: :like:

Work is keeping me a bit too busy to respond individually as much as I’d like but managing to read everything

Day 14

I did clean my nails earlier and opened some mail with the Evo14 but thought you’d prefer a pic of Coco taking very little notice of the SAK as usual

Ahhh, Coco looks like a Champ!!! :like:
And it looks like he is admiring your shiny red little Evo 14, Echotech.. :iagree:

:iagree:

Prefer these to the FireAnt but both useful. Don’t use the toothpick much whereas I do use the mini driver plus these have a larger striking area.
The tinder that comes with the FireAnt is a bonus though but can be bought separately

Noticed VIC now market the FireAnt under the VIC brand but not the FireFly, kind of surprised they didn’t do both products :dunno:

Touched up the blades a bit. I like the small clip-point blade.

Day 14

A catch-up post, this is a Evo 17 Camper, with a saw that has no nail nick, and Wenger embossed on the scale.  I was chatting with Poncho on instagram a little while ago, that Victorinox put the 'camping' scale on many various models.  I think I have seen it on Vic Ranger, Camper, and other models, and the only explanation I have is everyone likes camping.

Ummm looks nice, Echotech!

Day 15

The Evo 23 helped with some slicing and dicing - onions (red and white), garlic, a carrot, streaky bacon (smoked), chorizo, potatoes, canned beans, lentils and tomatoes with paprika and black pepper to taste - to make a stew/casserole to cook slowly whilst I’m out at a BeerFest at my local - great to be at one again after 2 years!

i tried out the Forrester saw,it's aggressive, seems to have more TPI than a Vic,but this 1 does not seem as sharp as the Vic saw [maybe due to it being 2nd hand]

What's your sharpening method GM?
I recently moved to a DMT kit which I like, but use all sorts from pull throughs to a stone depending on whether it's a beater or not and how quickly i need a result  :tu:

I used a Spyderco Sharpmaker. I find this more than adequate for a SAK (and many other knives).
My sharpening kit contains various guided rods with a jig, but I also use a stone and an old leather belt with polishing compound as a strop.
I don't hate any knives enough to use a pull-through sharpener
Depending on the knife, I'll use a variety of methods. The Sharpmaker can get a SAK going quite quickly.

Day 15

I've been a bit boring with my posts this far... And tonight will be no different

Anyway, undocumented or not I've actually been carrying and using this knife daily.

I've been trying to keep up with all the posting, I'll probably work my way through them all this weekend?
Some cool posting gentlemen. For some reason I'm particularly fond of the pics and stories that involve food  :dunno:

Another pre-bed photo of my knife; doing nothing in particular.

Day 12: Opening some instant wake up mix ☕
Always love the convenience of instant coffee mix!

Fall tomatoes! Sweet!

My summer tomatoes froze in June this year, 29 degrees for 6 hours.
That's wicked! :o

Sweet!
Very nice trio. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for a Wenger Premier.
Agreed 100%.

Day 13

The Evo 23 helped prepare dinner again. Those are sweet Italian sausages from Wild Fork Foods...very good.
Looks awesome!

Day 14

Used the scissors on the Evo 23 to open some coffee this morning - I put the label into the vacuum pot to remind what’s inside!

Does the vacuum pot really keep the flavor in? :pok: :D

Day 12: Opening an anniversary card from Mrs R.  Today's our 26th!
Congrats! :like:

Day 14 of 30

Today used file today to cut too long nail, first cutted with pliers but nail was still visible so used file to shorten it. Mini screwdriver was used to tighten safety glasses screw. Awl was used to fingernails after work.

That's really a thoughtful wrap you'd put on the sheath, how are you liking the new blade? :tu:

If the cat keeps losing the widgets you may just have to drink more Guinness.  I guess we all make some sacrifices for our beloved pets.  :D

Barry, happy anniversary!

Powernoodle and GA1dad, great cat photos!

Tet, happy birthday to your wife...and another cat photo coming your way...

Day 14

With some "help," I tested the Evo's scissors on fabric. My helper was more interested in playing with the fabric scrap or the lanyard, but the scissors didn't too too bad.
Did you just subconsciously cut out a dinosaur or am I seeing things? :D

Day 14
My wife's birthday today, opening up a cake mix.
Happy Bday to Mrs. T! :woohoo:

Nice, you'd probably know this, but just a friendly reminder, keep a finger behind the ferro rod when you strike it, I have seen many reviewers saying it could break when you scrap hard.

I love those food pix too!  I can't recall I have ever gone thru a challenge without a fair amount of food pix in it, bacon, icecream, pizza, beer, chips, popcorn, chili...you name it, we probably got it. :D

Very nice accessory Maxdog - will scour the internet for one.

Back to day 15.   In hotel again and using my M61 ‘72 enter to precision open a packet of biscuits….   Possibly needs a stroke with the steel!

Wenger Patriot.  This is probably one of the thinnest SAK I own, really easy carry in the pocket.

Day 15.

One of the most important jobs of the day (according to the dog); trimming the stalks off her green beans.

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

My collection of Highlanders.  Great basic tool set, nice size and weight.  Really like 1 & 2 layer Wenger's in traditional scales.

Yea needed to make somekind beltloop to it so i wrapped paracord around the sheat and now i can carry it on my belt.
I really like Skrama cause its easy to handle and use on diffrent jobs. It so good that i rather use it more than my other blades, now i may mod my Rebar back to bladeless.
