You know what's missing in pic #2?  A camo Wenger Highlander with a choke tube wrench.   :tu:

 :iagree:

I've been looking for one for quite a while. Never find one I can afford!

Day 22: I had a surge protector which had a cable that ran behind a wooden cabinet my folks made about 20 years ago. The cabinet already had a hole which had been used for the coax cable to a TV years ago; which was just a knot that had been punched out. I had to widen the top hole, as well as cut a slot in the wood paneling at the back.  The cable on the surge protector was getting pinched badly, so I decided to run it through the back of the cabinet.

I used the Gardener's saw to enlarge the knot hole to a proper size, and the Morakniv chisel and cheap Harbor Freight hammer to aid in the cuts and knock the cut pieces out. The chisel can take a TON of abuse; as I've regularly smacked on it with a framing hammer for scraping, prying, and chopping. I also used the EVO S101's awl to cut pilot holes and the screwdriver to pry out chunks of wood.

Yeah, I know the Harbor Freight looks unused. It's because it largely is. I have larger hammers that get more use, but in tight spaces, it's where this little hammer comes into its own.

Not shown: LM Super Tool 300 which served as a shorter saw when dealing with the wood paneling and its larger awl.

Day 22 here still.

I had some yard clippings piled up from a few days ago, so decided to take the Evolution S17 out to do some whittling.  Was itching to get that blade to use.   :climber:
What a great blade!  Just slices through the wood like butter.
Not sure though what I made.  Kind of looks like a grizzly bear claw, or a prehistoric sabre tooth tiger fang!
I think it will make a good handle for something.

Day 23

Picked up a second PST II very cheaply a couple of months ago as the file and small driver were broken, scissors all gunked up and not working and in general need of some TLC

Gregozedobe kindly supplied me a SOG saw to replace the file and I sharpened the broken driver into an awl

Used the awl on my 1975 soldier to keep everything in line when removing the bolts and other tools

Reshaped the saw to fit and sharpened the awl with a rotary tool, after a good clean and oil got myself a very useful MT :like:

On youtube I see the Evogrip rated quite high and recommended by knife retailers/suppliers amongst the many SAK models, in case anyone is interested.

Early start and I can't carry a knife with me today, don't was a quick, bleary-eyed photo before heading out.

Morning Awl,

I had full intention of using only one Wenger for this challenge. However, it seems I have left the Swiss Sportsman at work and will have to use the Teton as a stand in for the weekend.

So,,,, I've got a plate of smoked sausage and pop can biscuits ready for breakfast,,,,, with a side of Teton.

Day 23.

I'm enough of a Luddite that I still like buying CDs.  :D  Rather than scrapping around trying to grab the end of the pull tab it's always more satisfying to slice away the cellophane.

Dummy moment,

I just sat in my recliner and noticed the Swiss Sportsman across the room, sitting beside the cast iron pig I posted yesterday. Glad I saw it because I'm  sure my heart would have dropped when I didn't find it in my tool box on Monday.

It's fine as a starter rod. The main focus is portability with this one. And it was inexpensive too.

You just have to be a bit careful not to close the blade on the bail (which I managed to do myself just yesterday  )
Thanks for the reminder, part reason why I am so hesitant to use any Alox with bail.

Day 22 of 30

Today used phillips to tighten door hinges on our Welfare facilities, door wasnt closing right and i noticed loose door hinge and decided to tighten screws on it so door would close right.

Nice toy, I mean tool. :D

I watch a couple minutes each, but the second video likely has some misinformation, IIRC, the Evo 18 doesn't have a secondary blade like 91mm Vic SAK does, but a smaller nail file.

This commander is from the Wenger Snife series, and after years of collecting it, I just realized it was finger painting on the knife scale today.   Little guy was really drawn to my colorful toy tool the whole afternoon, and keep asking me 'what's this?'
