Losing my frickin mind!
on: March 24, 2009, 03:29:52 AM
I just found out that JOHN FOGERTY is coming to town!   Yes, the genius behind all of Creedence Clearwater Revival's hits, and the man who has done more with three chords than most musicians can do with a whole instrument!

Tickets go on sale Saturday morning and you can bet I'll be there!

And if you Brits say you don't know who he is, I am never talking to any of you ever again.  :ahhh

I could never get over how much a boy from the SF Bay area sounded as much or more like a Southern blues rocker, than a Southern blues rocker.Mrs. Bison was a fan of CCR from the start

With few exceptions (like Ozzy), the Brits have always said they have never heard of the artists I talk about or go see.  Like when Helix, the Headpins and Dr Hook played at my bar...

Some of them are too young to know good music, but others have no excuse.  And, this is JOHN F*CKIN FOGERTY!

I only ever saw Helix once, when they opened for Triumph at the Metro Centre.

I did see the Spoons at the Misty Moon and Kick Axe at the Crazy Horse.

I'm really showing my age aren't I?  ???

Kind of... the lady that owns my bar is the daughter of the former owner of the Moon and the Crazy Horse.  He has since moved from Halifax and opened a new bar in Mississauga which he called the Misty Moon.

While I had heard of them I couldn't think of a song they had done.  :-[  Youtube is my friend and CCR are now playing in the background.  Very cool.  8)

PS I just found Proud Mary, I knew I had heard of them before.  ::)

CCR was a good band.  Personally, I always considered them at a level below The Who, Led Zeppelin, the Stones, Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd.   :-\
