New Streamlight Sidewinder

Seems Streamlight have sorted out one of the main issues (IMO) of their Streamlight and have made a compact version http://heinnie.com/product.asp?s=wxagza682023&strParents=&CAT_ID=0&P_ID=4650  I was a huge fan ofthe original, but it's bulk put me off carrying it.  This looks like a good alternative.

Yeah it's better than the original

But I like my edc torches to double as beatie sticks, and you could really use that as one

I'm a huge Streamlight fan - my favorite manufacturer of lights.  Incredibly diverse product line ranging from inexpensive imports to expensive lights for cops, military, and firefighters.

In my experience Streamlight backs up its lifetime warranty without question and offers excellent customer service.

I've come close to pulling the trigger on a Sidewinder a bunch of times, but have always been put off by its pitiful little 1 year warranty.

This is the first Streamlight product I've ever seen without the lifetime warranty and frankly that doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in me.

I did ask them why they did that and I got a reply, but I can't remember the answer now.
