From the previous link posted above...I use large cabinet and tool chest sets. I have them in my bedroom but strongly suspect your wife would not go for this. The nice thing about this is that it is all lockable. Here is a link to most of my collection. The Swiss stuff is in there also.https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,85196.0.html
I started a similar thread a while ago: https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,86599.msg2208912.html#msg2208912The responses were both depressing (OMG I've only just scratched the surface) and inspirational (OMG I want a collection like that!). Hopefully you'll get some similar insight.

I don’t really have many on display at any given time. I like some of the store type display stands made by or for Victorinox.
Looks sharp! Maybe I should look that up on eBay..Do you loose spring tension over time then you "fan" them ?
People get angry if I show my displays...
Is it that big Sendt fra min moto g( power med Tapatalk
It's not a single case, no
I have also had this experience.
Seriously? Your collection is amazing. And so nicely displayed with those home-made boxes/trays
Here are a few drawers in my storage system. Nice and large and unfortunately a bit full. The nice thing about this system is that everything is visible when you want to...and can be locked away when needed. Not exactly on display, but when you reach a certain critical mass...it is hard to store them anymore efficiently than this and still see what you have.IMG_8860A by Chako, on FlickrIMG_8855A by Chako, on FlickrThe best part of these tool cabinet and chest combos are the deeper drawers that allow somewhat efficient storage of those boxed knives you do not want to separate. And here I was thinking you were at the point you could sell entry tickets by now
Oh, believe me, there are much, much larger, perfectly displayed collections! But their owners are very quiet and reserved.Me with my boring little wooden drawers ... no chance.
