Torx Screws
on: April 03, 2021, 12:31:33 AM
I carry a Tinker\Classic SD combo and I find it can between the two of them they can handle various Torx screw sizes.  The can opener on the Tinker can also handle some Robertson 's screws as well.  This combo can handle 90% of screws I encounter.

I was curious if anyone else has found different screws either the Classic SD or Tinker can handle (Allen, etc..)?

I've also found the can opener/flat Phillips to be a particularly versatile tool that works on a number of different screws.

I have used the can opener on various Phillips sizes with success.  Never tried any Torx.  What implements work on what Torx sizes?

The can opener will work on Torx screws and the Flat tip in the Classic SD will work on smaller Torxs.  I'm sure the exact Torx sizes they work on but they work on the ones in my dishwasher, sewing machine.  I will try to see what sizes they are.
