Retired models
on: April 13, 2021, 08:38:59 PM
So starting to feel a bit sad!  :dunno: I've been putting off buying a few models of LM and they've been retired. Juice's and a few pocket tools, Cam and Hail and a spare Piranha.

It's made me think differently on all my Mt's, MUT is my favourite model by far and now I'm scared to use it in case I can't get another, plus cost its now 200Quid!

Ive just ordered a new steel Surge and I think that and a Free P2 are going to be my go to's

I guess my question is, how do we now when a model is going to discontinued?

We usually don't know until they move it to the retired section of the LM website :ahhh Most of the time a member here will notice and say something about it in a thread. LM is also slow to move things on their site, so sometimes a tool has been retired for a good bit before we even know

I think the Crunch may have even been retired lately  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh It is out of stock on their site but not sure it has been moved to the retired tool section yet :dunno:

Usually a hint is that they will put strange prices on the cents part of the cost. For instance most items will normally be $99.99 or 119.95. Items that are going out will be unusual like 95.85 or $19.15. If that makes sense.

Right now the Rime is going for $4.80 and the Style CS $22.46 which means they are on the way out.

Thanks for the information. I'll have to keep an eye out for price changes.

I would think the Crunch and Micra will be with us for a while yet.
A little Leatherman information.

Even if they both were retired this year (hopefully they each have many years left) they have for sure both had a great run :salute: :like: :like:
