In another food thread, an MTo member suggested that we needed a dedicated bacon thread.

If you’ve followed some of the 30-day challenges, you’ll know that bacon is a frequent topic…even a frequent theme. It would seem that multitool users and food lovers everywhere love some bacon. And the more bacon the better!

I have to agree. We need a bacon thread.

This thread is dedicated to that indulgence we know as ‘bacon’. Bacon may vary from country to country and even region to region. It gets used in awl sorts of ways. Regardless, bacon is a food loved by many. I even know a cardiologist who loves his bacon.

So, please use this thread to post shot of your favorite bacon, favorite bacon recipes, and favorite bacon dishes. Post up a photo of your bacon and eggs, your vegetarian bacon BLT, or that chocolate-covered bacon you sneak in the wee-hours of the night. (Mrs Nix one sent me a care package of chocolate-covered bacon: it was great!)

It’s an online bacon festival. Let’s get this party started!

For my first bacon thread entry, I’m posting up a controversial lunch: PB & B





This sandwich is made with American ‘streaky’ bacon, aka proper bacon, peanut butter, and whole wheat toast. That’s the way Mrs Nix takes hers; mine is improved with mayonnaise and some black pepper.

If you haven’t tried this classic…..what are you waiting for?

Yeah, I know this is a bit out of the ordinary. And I’m trolling here a bit to spark some discussion, but, regardless, it is a great sammie and a great use of some left over bacon. (Who has leftover bacon?)

I don’t have a bacon pics right now, but last night I watched a video with lots of good bacon sizzling , including popcorn cooked in bacon grease.

Funny you should mention that.....I have some bacon grease leftover from lunch and was planning on using it to make some popcorn to share with Adventure Boy this evening. He loves my popcorn...surprised?   :rofl:

I popped this with mostly peanut oil + a spoonful of bacon grease. Seasoned with salt & pepper ground very finely. Adventure Boy Approved. :tu:

I bet Adventure Boy loved it.  Fisher loves bacon.   Sometimes after cooking bacon, he’ll get a little bit of the grease drizzled on his kibble.

Bacon is life!

Here, I have two big fans of bacon.
Vítor, is the N°1. He even help me to select the best piece on the market (he likes more meaty)
And Theo. The little dog is always in my side when I'm cooking.
