First post. Got my Bond Yesterday! That makes 4 LM now. 5 will be here next week!

This is for your own good:

:megaslap:

Now run as far away from here as possible.

I was like you last year. Life going well. Thought I would buy a multi tool or two. Found this place. Fell under the spell of the enablers that infest this place.

Fast forward a year. I now steal purses from old women to pay for my Leatherman habit. Lost my job, my family, my home. I sleep in the cold on a pile of Leatherman holsters.

Well, not really. But I do have waaay more multi tools than any sane person could justify owning  :D

Welcome to MTo
There are a bunch of great people here. You'll love the place. And don't be shy about sharing pictures of your multi tools, otherwise known as MTs around here.

Bond, James Bond. That’s what come to mind right? Did they name this Bond because it was made to be legally carried in the UK? Or just a coincidence?

That's a good question

We know the Curl is part of a Wave, so that name wasn't to hard to figure out

Possibly because this tool shares a bond with the original PST. Just throwing that out there.

Yes, that's some rationale thinking. I'll buy that. Maybe they did not want to go with PST III. Hard to imagine they would name it after a movie franchise.

TSA took exception to my blade less Rebar.  Sure I could have argued it, but it was the end of a long trip and ready to get on the airplane and get home.  I have two Bond's, so I am thinking about modifying one of them to be TSA legal.. Although  It has a smaller tool selection, but will fit my traveling needs.  I have a couple of ideas as to modifying it and would like some suggestions.  The first is to just dremel off the knife blade or take it apart and replace the blade with a pair of scissors.  My first question is will a pair of scissors fit in that slot?  If that is possible which tool could I utilize the scissors from?

Oooh..sorry for your loss, OH!

I would think that a pair from Rebar/Wave/Charge will fit nicely, albeit maybe tools re arrangement (switch tools between places and or handles).

As an owner of a Knifeless Rebar myself, I remind you that the saw blade (and, depending on the TSA agent, the awl) is also forbidden on domestic/USA flights.

Good luck, and happy modding! :tu:  Please, do remember to post pictures of your "Knifeless Bond" when finished!!!! :like:
