I'm getting my second shot this saterday, and my 16 year old son is scheduled to get his first one tomorrow.

We just received his invitation letter today, and checking the site,  we noticed there was one spot open tomorrow, and the next free slot was days away, guess someone canceled his or her appointment.

We both get Pfizer by the way.

Really great to hear that more and more gets fully vaccinated! And that they go down as low as 16,here in Sweden it's 18

Yep I'm double jabbed, as is the wife. Oldest offspring has had first jab, awaiting second.
Now for the test, youngest offspring has caught covid at school. She's had a bad few days, seemed better yesterday. We are self testing at home, so far no one else positive.

@Essexman: Hope she will get better soon, and none of the other family members get infected.

Our oldest son (Colin, 16y) got his first shot (Phizer) today, so far no side-effects for him, hope it stays this way the next couple of days...

Now been a little over 2 weeks since the second dose of Pfizer. That means we should be both protected as fully as possible now. Still going to practice social distancing and face masks. I think it will be our new normal for quite some time.

My daughter is recovering, had a terrible week. She’s very tired, but eating more now.
Somehow the three adults in the house have managed not to catch it.

Had my second Pfizer jab last sunday. Other than a bit of a sore arm for one day (just like after the first jab) no side effects  :salute:

Had my 2nd Astra jab today.  Hopefully nothing like the 1st dose happens.

The delta variant is worrying. My biggest concern is that my kids have not yet been vaccinated (12 & 14) since the doses her are just for 18 and above.

Good to hear so many are getting to their second jab :like:

Also had my second AZ last Wednesday. After the rotten side fx first time round was a bit worried, but apart from a slightly restless night, no problems at all.

Thank you all for the kind words and well wishes, she's fine now. She was very unwell, first high temperature, then feeling generally unwell, followed by a very bad cough, which caused her to be sick, off her food for days, very tired and weak. But worse was the fact she was in her room by herself, as a parent it was horrible not to be able to give her a hug when she needed one.
Good news is that no one else in the house came down with Covid. We tried our hardest, wearing masks when upstairs and near our daughter. Washed hands all the time etc. But it's very difficult, someone still has to clear up her sickness!

Glad to hear she's feeling better now  :tu:.

As a parent I feel your pain in not being able to give her a hug in such hard times, that must be truly heartbreaking...

And great job on not getting infected yourselves.  About 6 months ago there was a serious Covid-19 outbreak in the nursing home where Misses TG-24 works,  and from the 20 inhabitants and 8 people staff on her department, only 2 inhabitants and 2 staff members didn't get infected (one being the head of the department,  who doesn't really comes in close contact with the patients, and the other was Misse TG-24, who was working serious overtime, taking over shifts from infected colleagues).

So you guys did an awesome job  :hatsoff:.

  • I'm blue!
I had the 2nd shot of Moderna on July 9th.
Both shots gave me muscle aches in my back and arms lasting two days.

Just to show how far back my country is compared to everyone else’s, it’s only tomorrow Oct 29 2021 that our 12 and 14 yr old kids will receive their first Pfizer Covid shots.

Yeah, I’m eager to have them get it plus I’m looking forward to 3week after where they’ll eventually receive their 2nd dose.

At least we won’t worry about the kids anymore.  They’re still doing online classes though.

Glad to hear they are finally getting their jab !

Thanks Steve!

We successfully got them inoculated last Friday afternoon. Took less than an hour and a half. No adverse effects after.

Although the next day everyone was having a good laugh coz either boys couldn’t lift their shoulders where the jab went.

I have had two AstraZeneca and a Pfizer booster.
My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.
