For me, it's the 'trinity' of scissors - metal file/saw - inline phillips.

If the small blade is one of my favorite tool on a SAK, then Scissors is probably a close second, especially in an urban setting.

Metal file/saw, since it did once saw my behind on a long trip, and in a pinch, it could do what a wood saw does, but not the other way around.

Inline phillips, it's just so convenient, especially in a 4-5 layers SAK. 

Merit Badges Participants shall carry and use one Soldier knife, the model of their choosing, for the duration of the 90 days and post a picture each day. Start a new thread and post a photo of the minimal sak (2 layers or fewer) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate and contribute in Challenge thread and post a photo of either an Axe, MT/Folding knife or Fixed blade (picked at the beginning of challenge) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Spyderco knife for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate and contribute in Challenge thread and post a photo of a different blade each day for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK Soldier for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK Cybertool (any variant), Swisschamp, Champion or Toolchest for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Fieldmaster SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the discontinued sak/mt for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of a fixed blade for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Explorer SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of any gear for thirty (30) consecutive days during the MTo anniversary month. Start a new thread and post a photo of the leatherman (supertool, core, hacks) for thirty (30) consecutive days. I assume you meant “save my behind”, in which case would you care to share the story?

Maybe controversial but I like the nailclip 580 in the tackle box as I prefer the clippers for line and has file too. It deserves as tiny little 58mm fishy scale in my opinion  :whistle: Strangely I’ve never had an Angler or Fisherman ...for fishing at least!

How much more difficult/tedious is it to Mod a Wenger over a Victorinox? Or do the Vic Delemont have a similar rivet assembly to normal Vics? ( I haven't broken down any of my Delemonts to look at the guts of one).

It was at a beginning of a long trip and I travelled to a pretty remote location in SE Asia.  Upon checking into hotel, I realized I forgotten the key to a large luggage bag, and it was by sheer luck I had my Mountaineer in another bag which I did have access to.  Without having the metal saw/file with me, the trip would have been cut short or became a lot less fun.

If you go to the Mod Squad board there will be more info there and there are also some pics of breakdowns that may help too- must be some delamonts among them. Imagine they are very similar though...
