I was looking at my Charge drawer photograph when I spied a noticeable difference between the older Charges and the newer on with the same design handles.
Now, the ones I have currently in my collection all date to 2013 when Leatherman made the change to the "newer" design. At the time, I didn't much care for it compared to the older handle design. Over time, it sort of grew on me however. With that said, I really didn't add any newer models to the fold until today, when I received my copy of the Charge TTi+.
From looking at the drawer photo, I noticed the newer Charge didn't have as nice of a texture compared to the older production models. I checked all of my Charges featuring this handle design, and the older ones definitely have more texture. Upon closer inspection, the newer model is very flat compared to the more 3D texturing on the older ones. Yeah, the newer Charge does not look as good as the older ones.
Here is the drawer that drew my attention to this detail. Note the newer Charge TTi+ is located next to the other two Charge+ tools, along side of the Vista and Hybrid tools. The older Charges are located in the lower right corner.

The Charge TTi+ with production date 02 20 is on the top. The Charge TTi with production date 01 13 is on the bottom.

With the right lighting, you can see the texturing difference.

There you go. I can now tell which is the TTi+ and which isn't simply by the look of the handles.
