Replacing Mut Saw in the Surge Serrated Knife Slot mod

Have anyone tried fit a Mut Saw blade into Surge Serrated slot? Is it a direct fit or not worth it?

After seeing Waniya's video of her modification on youtube. I have the same issue with the serrated blade on my EDC silver Surge. I always carry an utility knife with me so the main blade on my surge don't get much use out of it. So there is no need for the serrated blade ever. I have the saw in the blade changer but sometimes I wish I have the diamond file with me. So her modification is perfect:

Blade changer => diamond file
Serrated Blade => Saw (I think it is the same saw blade from MUT, would some of you confirm please!)

This mod will make my surge a perfect tool. So have anyone made the swap already? Any compatibility issues? Please advice...

If I was to do this myself I would be looking first at a ST300 saw. I have a couple of ST300 drivers in my Surge and they went in easy, mind you they are at the other end of the handles and the pivot size might be different to that of the blades.

I do wish I had a dedicated saw in my Surge but the question would be what to give up? The serrated blade is my most-used tool on it.

so MUT saw blade is a better choice as it is an outside tool just like the serrated blade rather than inside, plus, it saves me a crazy bevel grind to mate with the liner lock from the st300.

The MUT saw is in an left-hand slot and both Surge knives are in right-hand slots so at least the liner lock will be angled differently. Depending on how much material there is, you may be able to regrind the locking surface of the saw or make do with an imperfect matching.

like you have mentioned earlier it was tried.with a Supertool 300 saw which is a lever lock inside tool, the serrated blade is a liner lock outside tool, l have to see how the left / right hand tool interact in surge and mut works, hope i don’t screw up too bad.
