How tight should the unlock blade button be on a Hunter Pro?

I have a few and they all seem to extremely tight, to the point of marking my fingers to unlock the blades.

Is this common? will they loosen up a bit as they are used?

On the ones I have it is tight.

I have not played with them / used them enough to know if they will loosen up.

I have two, both are stiff. Yet, I did pay much attention as my Buck lockback models are stiff on arrival and loosen with use.

Apply light oil on the locking end, and with use it will improve.

My H Pros were well oiled when they arrived, just as note.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Have not had to, these have been received well oiled,  but I do keep a light gun oil on my bench and also Mineral oil for knifes that I expect to use for food prep.
