Well... It is a... ummm... kit, consisting of... ummm... bits for your LM tool...  :P

Seriously now, if you have one of the LM models that came with a partial bit kit then you will probably have some redundant bits, but that's never bad. You can carry your bits at the back pocket (sleeve) of your sheath (if you're into sheath carry), but since the bit kit has two of those plastic containers, they wont both fit in that slim sleeve along with your tool, so you'll probably have to choose the ones that you need/use the most. Oh... did I mention that the bits are black but that they tend to lose color from the first use?

Yup, that's the way it's meant to be. The sheath included with the bit kit is just a generic LM nylon sheath (it's the same one shipping with Skeletools, i.e. this one) that has no sleeves.

Huh my skele didn't come with a sheath, but my bit kit did.

That's because you ordered the Skeletool without sheath... :) I didn't know and got myself one with the sheath. I should have known better... That sheath has been resting in the pile-box for the best part of the last half-a-year or so.

You wouldn't fancy a nice unused Skeletool nylon sheath, would you? :P

If I had that my skele will be left at home  :P and the shipping would cost an arm and a leg  :ahhh but thank you

Then why bother including a sheath with the bit kit,  afterall where are you supposed to store the bits?.  That doesn't sound right.

I guess the basic idea is that, with the included sheath, you have more carry options. You can (i) keep the bit kit in your pocket, or (ii) select those bits that you use more often and fit in one of the plastic containers to be carried in your Charge/Wave/* sheath's sleeve, or (iii) carry all of those containers in that sheath that comes with the bit kit and have your MT in some other pocket/sheath/*.

Yup - Noth has got it right I think.

The "Bit Kit" consists of two plastic cards that carry the bits which together are about the same size as a multitool, so they give you and extra sheath to carry them in.

The Charge sheaths contain a pocket for one card only (in fact they come with a reduced, one card bit kit).

Personally, I have over time learned which bits I need most, selected one cards worth and carry that. I have use dthe "spare" sheath a couple of times for a Skeletool. Sorted.

I used to come here a lot.

I have the leather LM knife sheath for my Wave and I can fit both cards and the J-Sews Special saw blade in there 8) It fits in there surprisingly well :tu: but I am a thick lug and wouldn't know if it was to heavy  maybe I need a Surge and see if that is really true ::) :D
