Thanks Steve, at least the 557 is getting a workout in the Daredevil challenge :like:

Be good to see it again in the Delemont challenge although I know you’re not that keen on it, maybe the Commander…still got you down as a maybe
I think I've grudgingly made peace with the Wenger scissors at this point.   :poh:

I forgot about my Traveler - it's more practical than the Commander because it has scissors. But the lack of any Phillips driver capability is almost a deal-breaker for me.

For those of you who carry Wengers or Delemonts (without the inline Phillips) regularly, what do you do for Phillips screws as the Wenger can opener doesn't have the small slotted driver that works with Phillips, like the Vic SAKs do?
SAKs:
58mm: Bijou (3), Classic SD (7), Mini Champ Plus (mod), Alox Classic SD, Rambler (3), Companion
65mm: Wenger Esquire
74mm: Executive (2)
85mm: Traveler, Delemont S10, Bass
91mm: Champion "c", Swiss Champ (4), Explorer (3), Deluxe Tinker, Huntsman, Serrated Spartan/Weekender, Explorer Plus, Deluxe Explorer Plus (mod), Outdoorsman Plus, Champion "a", Champion Plus, Timekeeper Alarm, Golfer
93mm: Pioneer Alox

It certainly harder on the old Wengers, but modern Delemonts such as the EvoGrip 18 (which also has backside philips) and RangerWood 55 have the full opener layer as found on any VIC so not a problem

The file tip on the old Wengers work well enough on jobs that don’t require too much torque but otherwise, you’re quite right Steve, bit of a problem. Surprising how much you do with the file tip though

Thanks for confirming what I suspected, Echotech. I think I'll stick with a Vic SAK with an inline Phillips (Explorer and Swiss Champ are my favorites), that can also hold my hex bit coupler.

In the morning I realized I shouldn't have included the reference to the Delemonts. Of course they have the small screwdriver on the can opener. I see it ever time I open that blade on the S557. This is why I shouldn't post things at midnight.
