For the second time this year, we just decided to mess with the clocks and add an extra hour to this sunday. Just because. This might have made sense 80 years ago, due to WWII. Why the smurf do we keep doing this?!
I guess it doesn't make sense if you don't work outside year round and try to start as early as possible I get up at dark 4 am everyday to get to work by 6 and if not for the time change I wouldn't be able to start work until nearly 7:30 by the time The Winter Equinox is upon us also children would be going to school in the dark here in the winter of not for the time change as well I prefer time change as it allows me to still be home in the evenings with my family at the same time vs having to stagger my schedule quite a bit and schools and indoor workers not having to change theirs. If a person works inside then they have lights if it is dark but we don't have the same luxury when working outside
We do its called daylight and when your job is almost 2 hours away you prefer to drive while it's dark and work in the day the time change works well for us as it helps with not having to stagger our hours If we did away with the time change it would put me getting home after 6 and that would eliminate almost 2 hours that I can spend with my family in the evenings. They are and would be asleep no matter what time I leave in the morning. So I would lose that time with them. Plus the time change is already in place, so why change it now Also moving there isn't an option, the money is great but the area is horrid plus I could never afford housing in that area
That's what I'm saying, stop changing it!!!!
The area is horrid plus I could never afford housing in that area.
Poor dolphins are often given a porpoise funeral.
Pauper's Funeral.
I realize both of those are subjective...but why do they often go hand-in-hand? I really don't get that.
It's something along these lines:(Image removed from quote.)
I prefer peace and quiet over convenience and entertainment.
You make sure they have a good life before they are killed. As opposed to making their life miserable and then killing them anyway.
LIDL and Aldi have added an "Animal Welfare" label to their meat products.(Image removed from quote.)How can raising animals to be killed and eaten have anything to do with "Animal Welfare"?!
So, you have $1000~$2000 to buy an IPhone but don't have $10 to buy a pair of headphones so you can use both hands to drive and reduce the chance of causing an accident.
And now something I don't understand: why does Maruchan call their cup of soup an "Instant Lunch" when you have to boil water, pour it in the cup, and wait three minutes before eating?
Some states have made that illegal. How strictly they enforce it, I can't say. I also don't imagine it's easy to shift gears while holding the phone up to one's ear.
Don't most people drive automatics, these days?
That's true; in the States, anyway. Last I checked, only about 5% of brand-new vehicles sold have manual transmissions. Matters not to me, as I know I'll never buy a brand-new vehicle. The book link didn't work for me. But the explanation makes sense. A little before my time...I missed much of the 1970s, too.
I'll take a manual over auto any day.
Yeah, man... like... I feel you, bro... yeah... cool, man...
This kind of thing. Why not just teach kids to use a pointy knife instead?!
