Ever wish you'd thought things through a bit better?
on: January 23, 2009, 07:14:33 PM

I decided to replace the scales on this Charge AL as the old ones were quite marked up.

There's quite a lot of tension in the handles I now know, due to the liner locks. I think I've found all the parts, I counted 43 (ish)....

I have to do football training now, but hopefully it will go back together somehow tonight.
I used to come here a lot.

:ahhh  :o That looks a bit of a chore there Dave :o I think I have a pic of a Charge ALX taken apart but don't know maybe you can at least see if you have all the pieces still ::) I believe that the  pic originally belonged to J-sews so he may be able to tell you how many pieces for sure :D

Hope it goes back together for ya :tu:

Been there, done that (a dozen times or so) :D  Goodness those Charges are a complex device aren't they? Taking one apart and putting it back together gives a guy a whole new appreciation for what goes into making one. :salute:

I've decided I like taking things apart. Putting them back together again is a bit of a drag though.

Don't give me ideas... Although, it could be done, but you'd need some reinforcement where the pins go through...

You know what? That might actually work.

Dave, I did the same exact thing with a Charge SLV.. It was extremely gritty; and I had no other option but to completely take it apart! It wasn't too hard, but I kept dropping washers and such; which made is extremely difficult.. And, I don't have the proper tools for it; only cheap sockets I bought at Big Lots!

I used a Crunch and another Charge - lol. Oh and Kick pocket clips for the smaller screws.
