Leatherman Surge Mod

My Leatherman Surge Rides with me every work day.  While I use many of its tools the blade exchanger has been neglected.  I am always using screwdrivers, pliers, crimpers and the knife.  So I bought a $5 scalpel off of ebay.  I took it to the grinder and ground out a t shank shape and shockingly it fits in very nice and snug to the blade adaptor.  There is a fair amount of grinding required but it is definitely worth it.  Now I have an exchangeable blade I use almost every work day.

Thanks!  Appreciate all the ideas on the site.  I believe the Surge has even more potential to add to its modularity.
