I love those Victorinox lanyards...

I really adore those Victorinox lanyards. I put them everywhere and I am always short of. I just received a new bunch.
Do you use them and, if yes, do you hesitate to put them on non Victorinox tools?

I have a Pioneer that has one. That Pioneer will be so equipped until the lanyard falls apart. However, I usually prefer to make my own lanyards.

And that green Alox is beautiful! What is the tool at top right?

Love Victorinox lanyards and have a few. That I don't use, because I love Victorinox lanyards.

I make some lanyards about the same size from paracord or leather to use with my SAKs and other cutting implements.

I personally prefer some kind of clip that I can remove in a heartbeat, for those moments where I need completely unobstructed use of my SAK, such as with the saw or file blades.

However, I do still have Vic lanyards on a couple of my SAKs... mainly because they already came equippped, so are part of each knife's history.
They are pretty great, just not for me.

That's why my one Pioneer still wears its Victorinox lanyard: it's part of the knife's history. Exactly the phraseology I was going for!

I used to make my own with paracord or leather. I kept the old ones only for those where the Victorinox lanyard is too short.
It is the 4th time that I bought lanyards, now I have a few spares left thankfully,

Another reason for prefering the paracord lanyards is that I use them together with the hook, for carrying heavy bags.

I would swear Swiss Army Knights was the proper forum for that.
Anyway, I bought enough for the SAKs and some other tools of all the family.
