Hello SAK Experts,

I am doing a little clean up / editing / maybe correcting of the Wiki.on the electronic tools / functions

Can anyone please confirm which electonic functions are in the following models:
  • Voyager
  • Timekeeper Alarm
  • Altimeter
It's clear what is in the Traveller .... ie everything!!:  :tu: :D   Clock, Alarm, Timer, Stopwatch, Barometer, Thermometer, Altimeter

I would guess that the Altimeter has the
Thermometer, Altimeter ..... and maybe the Barometer ?  ???

And the other two have the:
Clock, Alarm, Timer, Stopwatch - Maybe not the stopwatch?

But can someone confirm please?

The Wiki surprisingly says that the clock functions are in the barometer and altimeter tools -
Which I would have thought was not the case prior to the Traveller models

And the barometer and altimeter are not separate tools (or models) anyway!! So I am confused!!

Thanks Knights

Hi.

You can check every Tool combination for these models here:
https://leaf-vics.com/topics/tools/tool-electronic_tools/lcd

Each model has specified tools (see screenshot)

  • Master of the unexciting
Mine has an altimeter and a thermometer. I'd be happy to post photos if anyone would like.

OK - Folks - I think I have it - Thanks LeaF and Farmer X and also some images in SAKWiki

My main questions were:
  • Did the Voyager (and Timekeeper Alarm) include a stopwatch - as opposed to a countdown timer?
  • Did the Altimeter include timer functions?  - Smart Knives and the Wiki Digital Watch page said yes it did!
  • Did the Altimeter include the barometer function?
LeaF’s image of the Timekeeper Alarm instruction leaflet was very helpful
NB: Please can we include this in the Wiki – It would be very helpful for any Wiki users who get hold of a T.A. second hand.
Anyway I think the answers are:
  • No they only had the countdown timer – The stopwatch came in with the Traveller
  • Of course not – This was the major difference between the two models – Voyager had the clock functions – Altimeter had the barometric functions – They only merged in the Traveller. Smartknives and the Wiki page is incorrect
  • No this only came in with the Traveller
So the table below summarises the position
Is everyone OK with this?  ???  – If so I will make the Wiki digital tool pages clearer

One more model which has all electronic features is an Expedition Lite, but probably it's out of topic here

P.S You can use any image from my blog in SAKWiki :)

I would have checked the user manuals.  :dunno: Whenever I’ve looked, I’ve found PDFs online.

I second this idea!

As one of those poor SAKs who picked up a Timekeeper Alarm second hand, without any paperwork, it was ah, interesting, trying to figure out how to use it.
