So, I did a little math.

My XC came from a dealer for the $65 price.

My full size SwissTool was a V2, which a previous owner butchered (good vintage condition my arse!!!) Warranty replaced it with a new one. That one was $40.

My LMs.

My Charge TTi was bought used from a member here for $70.

My Wave was $35, bought from Lowe's when the Wave Plus was introduced.

My Surge was $45, bought from a local surplus store. I believe it had been a display.

So, all three of these (plus a pocket clip--as the Charge TTi was sold to me with a second clip, but I bought my first shortly after I bought the Surge) still cost less than the Spirit MX/MXBS.

I will be buying the clip however alone for my XC.

Those were some screaming deals, damn!

I'm really excited by these, especially the One Hand Opening options. This may be my first Spirit, just need to see how many organs I need to sell to get one here in Oz  :D

If this picture is accurate, then you would open one blade with your right hand but would have to open the second blade with your left hand.

You certainly couldn't open both blades with the same hand.

(Image removed from quote.)
I have been able to open both blades with same hand.  I open one the usual way with the thumb, while I push the other blade out using my index finger.  It takes a little practice and is not as easy as  some other tools, but it does work.

Wonder if anyone is making sheaths for these? I always insert the Spirits in lock first for that extra security snugness. :D
Maybe a Kydex sheath?? Have too much stuff in my pockets to carry one in there, and I do not trust pocket clips when working or being active. I like that curved serrated blade though. It beckons me. Where's that drool emoticon??

Last month I could of had one. The new year put me back on shorter hours. If Home Depot had them listed...

The new Vic Pocket clips arrived..3 day delivery time, so a lot quicker than I expected👍
Fitment is easy, with just a single Allen bolt/screw screwed in from the inside of the tool, thus clamping the threaded clip to the tools corkscrew attachment slot.
Clip retention is strong, but easy enough to fit and remove from a pocket.
No rattles or movement once fitted, only a bit of flex from side to side if enough force applied, but springs back- which I would prefer, than breaking the clip off. I applied a bit of thread lock to the screws thread, just in case.
So overall Victorinox have done a good job on theses new pocket clips.
They fit older swisstool and spirit tools and have made them pocket carryable for me at least.
Although the the price is still a bit high imo.

I prefer the swisstool over the spirit for edc as I have more use for its tool load out and it being more heavy duty.
Pocket carried the swisstool today for over 10 hours at work and didn’t notice the weight and was easy enough to clip in and out of the pocket, plus it never fell out, which was a bonus👍

Hey thanks Olives666

Brilliant - That's cleared up two queries I had
1. How do they attach?
2. Do they fit the existing models?

I had to check my Spirit though - and sure enough the back of the corkscrew flange is accessible

Also great feedback on the attchment and usage   :tu:    :tu:    :tu:

I agree.  I think I'm going to order the clip for the Spirit this evening.  I'm tempted to try one on my full sized RS...

Nice to se that some of you already got it and thanks for the rewiews!

I'm still on the fence, I have tried to have a pocket clip to my spirit and didn't really like it. But it wasn't screwed down and this might be different or it take some time to getting use to?

My biggest problem are than I can't find anywhere to buy it yet? I don't want to get it from the US, the extra cost isn't worth it and I will probably don't use it.. But just like the corkscrew I just can't shake the "I want it" feeling

So in other words I really looking forward to buying one, try it, take it off and leave it with the rest of my collection of accessories

Thanks lads for the heads up  and thanks to Victorinox for the Spirit Clip.  :hatsoff:
I like it! It's factory, it's solid. It's smaller and thinner than the Nite Ize clip I'm currently using. There is still enough space under the clip for my neo magnet and paracord suspension clip.

What sort of neodymium magnet did you use? And where to get one, cause them things are really handy. Had a rectangular one that slid in a Tread link. Not found anything suitable since.

I'm using a ring under the clip. It acts as a stop for the paracord suspension clip, so I can set how far it rests in a pocket. And you are right, the usefulness is endless. It works for retention on the end of screwdrivers , and I carry credit card dental floss in my wallet. The floss and magnet have retrieved a item or six in my past.

Anyhow, I have used the fine folks at K&J Magnetics for years. When I was a full time locksmith they could source some wildly oddball stuff.

I did find a great use for one though.  If you're wearing coveralls or overalls and want to carry one but are afraid it'll slide out of your pocket.  The clip sure comes in handy.

Time and a place for everything. Since 1987 I have concealed carried a HK P7. Even in sweat soaked clothing, you would never visually detect it.

Wonderfully durable, the current prices are unbelievable. Like so many things, SAKs included, the pricing soared when production stopped.

Debating on getting the pocket clip for my Swisstool. Does anyone know if installing one would remove the corkscrew option?

I’m assuming you’ll have to unscrew the pocket clip if you want to use the corkscrew.

The Swisstool is a beast so I’m actually ok with carrying it in a sheath.
