I find the ones where you converge on a solution much more satisfying compared to just random picks doing it. With the possible exception of getting it on the first try... :)

Yes, I agree.  Today I had two vowels. New were they were not. One was either at start or the end.   Yet over twenty possibles, and I picked one of twenty. Pretty random yet with met criteria.

It's now safe to give away spoilers right? Anyway, the way my group of friends plays is: you have to keep the green letters in place and use yelow ones in another place and no reuse of gray ones. So the hard mode with extra steps. I was left with ra on the end or r in the beginning and no other vowels besides y. Actually the final solution found itself from there. :)
