Vic Scissors: when did they move from screw to rivet?
on: February 18, 2022, 02:04:41 AM
Hey guys never noticed this before but my trusty 25 year old Climber has the two scissor blades joined by a screw. This is good as you can adjust ths tension a bit. Never noticed before but my later knives have a rivet.  Seems to be a rare example of cheapening there by Vic. Anyone know when they made the change?

‘92 is correct AFAIK, as the SAAMs site says…but still lots of outdated/incorrect info in there.

I still like my original scissors from ‘84 with the screw…but I don’t mind the rivets as much anymore.

Don't mind the rivet either and would actually give the edge to them.
