Adding pocket clip to Swisstool spirit X?

My swisstool spirit x isn’t but a few years old at the most. Is it possible to add the new clip to it and have it fit and function like the model that comes stock with the clip, or does the new model have some tweaks to make the clip work with it better?

The new clip fits perfectly on my older Spirit.  I believe they were specifically made to be able to be retrofitted.

I have mine on a 2009 Spirit XC so, it should work in yours just like Sos24 explained. 👍

Does it fit in the exact same orientation and tool side as the “clipped” version that just came out? Just curious, but good to know it fits!

Same orientation, either side (tool arrangement differs between earlier and latter model; X/XC vs. MX). It fits in the corkscrew slot: the clip has an indentation that fits in the corkscrew keyway, and is held in place with a binding bolt. If you were to find a "first run" clip, you just need to snug it up; the clip won't wobble or slide or anything because of the indentation ( I did add a drop of blue threadlocker, "just in case").
