MIA members; it's been a while
on: July 28, 2022, 06:33:31 PM
Going a bit back in my mind about my earlier years, I became aware that it's been a long time since I've read anything from gerleatherberman or Rapid Ray. I knew that RR would be moving, so I tried pm'ing but to no avail (have not tried gerleatherberman). Have anyone here know the whereabouts of them? I miss them. :dunno:

RR fell off the map, the last was he was on the road for work right at the start of the pandemic. I think GLBM check in once or twice and is busy perusing other hobbies.

Borg is another who just stopped posting abruptly, I think he was in the middle of a challenge.

The last I knew RR was living in Southern Florida and worked doing PM work for previous employer in Atlanta area.

Last time we spoke he was heading that direction in spring 2020.  I had taken a absence from here about same time, and could not locate him either.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Another that came to mind was The Peacent, who also stopped abruptly from about 2019...

And not just here Juan.  Peacent used to be a regular on the Spyderco factory forum too.  I think he had some job related things that took him away.

His absence hasn't been quite as long as some of the others,' but I haven't heard from Jackpine54 in a while. I think he was having problems with his comms.

Now I know!!! Most of his pictures had one; IIRC there was a yellow Salt Delica that made regular appearances. :like:

Hope they're all doing well...

Wondering also about a member who I think was a regular and was well esteamed,  back in 2018 when I started; he used to mod the Skele platform in such ways that made them look like new ones, machinning spacers and stuff,  and adding layers...I think he even made scissors for one! Too bad I can't remember the name

First I thought metropolicity, but no, he made 3d-printed add-ons, and skinths, of course. Names I haven't read since long time are jerseydevil, magentus and aimless wanderer. Jd last showed up 2017! That does not bode well...
Best regards and stay safe,

Wolfgang

I guess things happen, but it's still worrisome when regulars just disappear.
